5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME SWING!
I have a 2 month old son who weighs 8lbs. (He only weighed 3lbs at birth!) He LOVES to be outside. I took him outside and sat in my daughter's swing on her swingset with him in my lap, and he loved it. I realized that I needed to find some kind of swing for him. I researched every single baby/todler swing that I could find. Most of them looked like they would be very...

3.0 out of 5 stars no way is this going to fit a 36 month old.
I bought this swing to put on the new variety climber swing set extension that we just bought. My 7 month old and 22 month old fit perfectly in it. When my best friends 20 month old boy came over to try out the new play set he just bairly fit. He is not an overweight toddler, just tall and muscular. There is no way a bigger kid would fit. So I am going tomorrow to...

So I am going tomorrow to buy the little tykes high back toddler chair for our bigger guests. One really nice feature about this chair is that it has a 5 point harness belt. That is really comforting. I really feel that my babies are safe sitting in it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Won't last for a big or tall child, May 31, 2006

We bought this swing when my son was 9 months old, he absolutely loved it and I was thrilled with the safety harness. We put it away for the winter and brought it out when he was 18 months old and he didn't fit, he is only 25 pounds but very tall. Not recommended for the big or tall child. We now have to buy a new toddler swing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Really odd shape causes a problem, January 22, 2006
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars

The shape of the swing, curved like a sling, makes my 2-year old son slide down. He can't sit up straight and slides into a slouch. In colder weather, when he is wearing more than a light jacket, the bulk of the jacket makes it impossible to even get him to stay in the swing. Since there is no way for him to sit up straight and slide his rear end back (even without the jacket), he ends up right on the edge of the swing when wearing a jacket, with his body in basically a straight position which causes him to slide right off. Plus, the harness straps are not very long when adjusted to their maximum, so with a heavier jacket they don't fit. I'm not talking about a big child here either. At 29 months, my son still only weighs 25 pounds. I'm taking this off our swingset and getting a Little Tikes toddler swing.

Most of them looked like they would be very unsafe for an 8lb baby. (Especially since they all say they're for 9 months and up!) When I saw this swing, it caught my eye because of the 5 point harness. I still thought that it would be too big for him though. I decided to buy it anyways and give it a try. When the swing came in, I immediately put in on my daughter's swingset and put my son in it. The harness fit perfect. It adjusts just perfect for my 8lb baby. The buckle is firm and that secures my thoughts about my son not being able to unbuckle it when he gets older. The ropes are the perfect length, too. The swing hangs just above my daughter's regular swing on her swingset. I can sit in her swing and push my son easily. I am very pleased with this swing in all aspects. I strongly recommend this swing for anybody who has a small baby that loves the outdoors. Don't be fooled by the age recommendation of 9 months and up. A newborn can use this swing safely. I'm sure that we'll be able to use this swing for months/years to come! Nothing about this swing upsets me. It's PERFECT!!!

I have had this swing for a year now and it is not usable at all. For the past 6 months, the rope has dried up so much that if you touch it you get splinters. I have had to wrap tape around it just to be able to use the rope to swing my child with or to let him touch. This swing may look good, but trust me it will not last at all!

This swing was purchased for my 18 month old daughter. She absolutly loves it. She looks very comfortable, reclining at just the right angle. She has in fact fallen asleep in this swing before! Everytime we go outside she wants to swing. The harness is very safe and makes me feel very good about her safety. The ropes are also very strong and durable. Thanks Step 2 for such a great product. I highly recomend it to anyone with a young toddler.

My 12 month old wants to get in the swing every time we go outside and has quite a fit if she can't. The 5 point harness is GREAT so that you can swing them high and know they are secure. She is really enjoying it.

I love this swing! It's easy to adjust, it fits my toddler perfectly, it attaches easily, it's contoured and large enough so that he's comfortable. I've looked at other swings on the market and this is, in my estimation, the best bet. We have two!

I have 2 children under 2 that use this swing. They both LOVE it. I feel that it fits both of their sizes well and they are strapped in very secure. I highly recommend this swing. I am glad I bought it!
