My three year old loves this set. She can actually see herself in the mirror unlike her old one. She loves to sit and putmake up on herself and her dolls. The top of the stool comes off and can be used for storage. It is a much sturdier table than I thought as her old one wobbled. And this is the best thing of all....I put it together myself!! Did not have to wait for daddy to come home from work!! This set is perfect for a three year old that likes to play make-up!

Last week I bought the Barbie Vanity by Step 2 from TRU(made exactly the same except for the Barbie logo and a sticker or two; everything else is the same.) and my husband and I put it together last night. It took about 20 minutes and wasn't hard at all. You do need to use an electric drill where the instructions suggest. My granddaughter is in the 95th percentile for height and it is perfect for her with plenty of growing room. It's built very sturdy and stable as most Step 2 products are. There are no annoying voices, just a little light above the mirror which shuts off after 5 minutes. Also, there aren't many accessories that come with it, just a comb, brush, and small mirror. I don't mind though because of the higher quality of this vanity. This is a very pretty toy. My granddaughter really liked the Cinderella talking vanity, but after looking at it I thought it was way too small and not built very well. I also liked the fact that this one didn't talk. I did buy some pretend make-up and a little hair dryer that really works(no heat!)to go along with this set. You really can't go wrong with this one.

If you have a tall girl...,

I have a 5 yr. old who's tall for her age. She had her heart set on a vanity. Most of these plastic ones are too small for her. I found a good-sized wooden one (VERY STURDY) for even less than this one cost.(...) Don't know if they'll post this in the reviews, but I just had to share, in case there's someone with the same situation...
