This is a video of our 16 month old granddaughter going down this slide. She LOVES it and it's just the right size for toddlers. I would recommend this product for its durability, design and ease of assembly.

I got this slide for my daughter when she was 16 months old. We needed a toy for her to climb -- so instead of saying, "Don't climb this!" we could say, "Go climb that!" We were also facing a winter in the Northeast when playground play might not always been possible. This toy is great for physically active children. My daughter uses it every day (a claim I can make for only a few toys). She particularly loves slide (of course) and the basketball hoop. I don't love that the basketball is not to scale with the soccer ball and the football, and I don't love that there is a hole on top, ostensibly for throwing the football through, but it is irresistible to toddlers as something to throw themselves through! Not withstanding such a head bonk, we are very pleased with this toy. I am optimistic that she will be able to use this for several years to come (my guess is that it would work for an average-sized 4 year old) and that it will lend itself to pretend play as well. There is a hole to climb through so that the child is under the slide. It is supposed to be used as a soccer goal, but I think it would make a nice entrance to a fort. I will also note that assembly required brute force and liquid dish detergent as lubrication.

This product is listed with a recommended age of 2 years old to 8 years old. That is ridiculous. We bought this for our twin girls. They are 2 years old, soon to be 3, and as soon as they sit down on the slide their feet are only about 6 inches from the bottom of the slide. So they end up sliding only a few inches before their feet stop them. In the past I have taken them to a nearby park with much bigger slides. Of course kids can have fun just running around in our yard but they love to slide. I expected the slide to be a lot longer. They will soon not be able to slide at all since they are growing and their legs will soon hit the ground right when they sit down on the slide. I would say that this is a great product IF your children are about 18 months old. At least it will last you about a year or two. It certainly won't last our kids much longer.

I got the Step 2 All Star Sports Climber for my 17 month old son, and he is crazy about it. I wanted to find a safe and positive place to direct him when he wanted to climb and this is perfect. I also wanted to have something that my son could play with inside that wasn't too small or flimsy and would not take up too much room in our fairly small house. This climber is the perfect size for an indoor play area, is very sturdy, and best of all my son loves everything about it. The rock climbing wall is a perfect alternative to a more traditional ladder because his foot can't slip through the back. He likes taking toys up with him and tossing then through the basketball hoop or the football goal at the top. The soccer goal area makes for a fun fort too. The support bar at the bottom took some effort for my husband to put in, but that just makes it more sturdy so it is not a problem. I would highly recommend this toy to anyone with a child that is 1 year to 3 or 4 years old. It is well worth the money and being made in the USA is a great plus too. I'm sure my son will play with it for many years.

Highly recomend this slide for the value. A little tough to assemble for us and the basket does not stay in well. But overall our 1 1/2 year old daughter LOVES it and has now mastered going down the slide by herself. She discovered that she can crawl around and under it too so even more fun.

Boy was this toy a bear to put together by myself! While I appreciated not having to use a lot of screws/nails/hardware...its hard to snap plastic pieces together by yourself. I will also say that when my child is on the top and he shakes the side...the whole thing moves. Yes, I understand a PLASTIC toy cannot be completely solid and unmovable. But still disconcerting to see a brand new toy shaking with your toddler on top. I've already seen a slight bowing of one side, and its only a few weeks old. My child, however, loooooves it. :) The toy is also great for keeping indoors if you want. Its not too big, especially if you keep the basketball hoop off (which was the hardest part to put on!).

I bought this slide for my then 14-month old daughter when she started climbing on everything she saw. Winter was just around the corner so we put it indoors with rubber alphabet mats all around just in case she takes a tumble. It's the only slide we've found that has high walls on the top so that she has something to hold on to when she stands up, and it feels much more stable than other small slides I compared at the store. The blue "ladder" is actually a mini climbing wall with small holes to grip & step up on, instead of traditional steps. I'd worried that might pose a problem, but neither she nor her 17-month old friend had any trouble figuring out how to climb up.We've had it about four months now and she still spends at least an hour on it every day. It's been a godsend on days it's too cold or rainy to go to the park. Sometimes she sends her teddy bear down the slide, sometimes she experiments with sliding down on her belly, and sometimes she just likes to climb to the top and be taller than daddy. I haven't even introduced her to the basketball hoop & the balls yet, so I'm confident it will continue to be a great source of fun & entertainment for some time to come.

We got this for our two year old son and he loves it. Since it is winter, we are keeping it indoors and it really does go nice inside. Having read some of the other reviews, I think it would be helpful to address some of the complaints.First of all, putting it together IS hard. There were times when I would look at it and think "No way, not gonna happen". But I promise it does all fit together and will end up looking like the picture. As for the steps, they are not stairs but rather foot holes. My boy has a hard time finding the holes but he has no problem climbing up to the top. The slide is not very tall. I feel comfortable letting my boy play on this unsupervised as it is not a far fall to the ground. In a few years I am sure the slide will not seem as fun to a 5 or 6 year old, but for now he loves it. I have read many negative reviews for kids toys that talk about how their child liked it at first and then got bored with it. Well from my experience, that's just something that toddlers do! Our boy gets bored with this slide just like any toy. But that doesn't make it a waste. We've had it for two months now and our little guy still loves to play with it (and still gets bored with it). The sports balls are proving to be a lot of fun as well. It comes with a miniature soccer ball, basketball, and football. All of which are very durable and easy for a toddler to hold. It's also entertaining for adults, although we won't admit it ; ) I enjoy making baskets while he plays on the slide. One thing we did to make it a little more fun is put a little inflatable pool at the bottom of the slide filled with plastic balls. Sliding into a ball pit makes him smile so big! I would recommend this product to you. It is a safe, durable slide that can be used both indoors and out. It's also a good toy for more than one child to play with at the same time. Just make sure you're feeling strong when you go to put it together!

The parts that need to be joined together are of very poor quality. It takes quite an effort to get them to lock into each other. In-spite of our best efforts, me and my wife still haven't been able to lock in one of the joins. We are now considering melting the plastic edges so that there is more space for the joins to come together. Quite a pain!
