If you are looking to buy your child a solid and sturdy cart that will hold up to any rough play, multiple children, can be used indoors and out and will last for years, then look no further. As any Step2 product we have used, this is very well made and would be a breeze to clean if it ever gets dirty. It also comes fully assembled :)

The way the basket part of this is, makes it work very well for both a cart and a baby buggy, They can lay their baby down with a blanket and even some baby supplies and off they go(it also has the front seat for a doll to sit). I also like that this basket doesn't have any holes so they can put anything at all in this and not have to get annoyed that it falls out. Also this has a place under the basket that you can put stuff just like a real cart(if I were a kid I would be really excited about that feature...heck, I am an adult and I think it's a neat feature)

This easily rolls on carpet and bare floors and will smoothly go over rugs or just about anything really. I agree with another poster who said they wouldn't recommend this as a learning type of walker, only stable walkers should use this but I think that is true with any kid shopping cart although I have read reviews from several people who said the Little Tykes was more stable for learning to walk(I would still get a toy meant for a learning walker such as Vtech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker rather than get a shopping cart meant for ages 2 and up.

We bought this for our friends daughter on her 2nd Birthday, it was a huge hit for her daughter and my 2 year old girls. She also received a cheap/flimsy cart that came with food(Circo brand)...

My almost 3-yr-old loves to tote around his trains, cars, and other stuff in buckets, push-toys, backpacks, etc., and so this push toy fits the bill. Compared to other push toys and ride-ons that are designed for 1 to 2 yrs old, this one is taller and therefore great for his age, although my 1-yr-old can also use it. It has a nice solid, stable yet lightweight feel and looks like all the other Step2 toys in that it's thick and bulky (almost looks as if the plastic had been inflated with air when it was cast). There is no real storage on the bottom and the top bin is not huge but it's enough. Kids who play with dolls will probably love the "seat" up front just like the grocery store carts.

Above all, the thing I liked most about this grocery cart was that I pulled it out of the box, FULLY ASSEMBLED. Did not have to do a thing. This was a very pleasant surprise after finishing the assembly of my daughter's Step 2 Kitchen on Christmas Eve...OY VEY! Like most Step 2 products the construction is solid and of excellent quality. My only thought is that this cart should not be used as a "learning walker" type of toy...it can be fairly tippy. I would stick to the suggested 2 and up recommendation to avoid some nasty spills. My daughter has clocked endless hours pushing her doll around and shopping.

This cart does not pose a threat of damage to your floors or walls on impact and if your child acidentally bumps you from behind, it will not cause any pain or permanent damage to your heels. I cannot necessarily say that for the Mellissa & Doug metal cart that seems to be quite popular. I would certainly buy this particular product again.

Best part of this toy was that it was already assembled and also that it can be around for awhile. We bought it for our year old granddaughter who has just started walking but I imagine she will be able to play with this through age 5 or 6 or so. Good value for the money!

While my kids love this toy (they are 21 months old), I noticed that the wheels don't turn at all when pushing the cart on hardwood floors and so my kids drag the toy around which can damage the floors. It works fine on carpet.

First one had bad wheels, one was always off the floor no matter what. Emailed amazon and they shipped a new one that day and it arrived two days later. They even arranged for the old one to be picked up from our house for the return at no cost. Thanks amazon! The second one was great, no problems with wheels at all. Both of my girls love pushing the cart and we like the shelf on the bottom. They go shopping with their dolls and put their groceries away in their play kitchen.

We purchased the Step2 Little Helper's Grocery Cart for our 3 1/2 yr. old daughter and she LOVES it. It is very well constructed, lots of room for her groceries and a baby doll and stable (she zips around like a girl on a mission). We combine counting and fun with this toy (this costs $0.05 and this costs $0.10 how much will you have to spend to get both etc.). Would definately recommend this product.

I bought this to go with a kitchen for my children for Christmas. I was considering the metal Melissa and Doug cart as it was very realistic and I wanted one that had the front seat for a baby doll or animal. However, after looking at many different shopping carts for kids, I decided on this one because it seemed to be safe enough to deal with a 2 year old and 4 year old. It has been played with constantly since it was opened a few days ago! (No assembly - a huge plus!) The cart is sturdy enough to handle a little rough playing, but plastic so it won't scratch the wall or cause too much injury if bumped into. The bottom basket is as big as I was HOPING (since it's kind of hard to tell based on the pictures) and easily holds baby dolls in the front seat. It easily moves across carpet and is nice and wide which makes it extra sturdy. I love it! I highly recommend this cart.
