Audio quality is very good, but not too much excitement. If you want simply words then this is perfect for you.

I did not enjoy this product at all. It is amazing to me that Stephen Johnston has achieved so much success as a narrator of the Bible because his reading of the text was very unnatural. It was almost as if he had never read the bible before and didn't have any idea what was coming up next so as to put the inflections in the correct places. His bizar narration made it nearly impssible for me to concentrate on the content of what he was reading.

I bought this audio Bible for my husband to listen to in the car on his way to work, but for some reasonthe CDs will not play in the car. However, he listens to them at home & really likes them. Stephen Johnston speaks very clearly so it is easy to listen to & understand. There is no distracting music, drama,etc., which we like. If you want to just listen to the Bible being read, this is the set for you! The price is very good, too.
