I have been taking these for about three months. I wanted to give them a chance to work before offering an opinion as to whether or not other people should buy them.
I take one capsule in the morning before breakfast. I have read elsewhere that you don't want to let the capsule sit on top of food in the stomach because high levels of stomach acid can kill the bacteria. Whether or not this is true, I can't say, but I do believe at least some of the bacteria are making it to my gut (I can sense some differences when I eat a lot of sugar). Because taking one of these before eating has been working for me, I'm going to continue doing that.
I like that these are veggie capsules, since I'm a vegetarian. The size is about the same as many other capsules out there.
I did not have a lot of digestive issues before, but having a healthy colony of gut bacteria is important in other areas of health. In particular, probiotics have been connected with reductions in inflammation and/or allergic-type symptoms. Since I've been taking these, my nasal allergies have decreased in severity and I can breathe through my nose much more easily. I haven't done anything else out of the ordinary, haven't changed my diet significantly, etc. I'd say it took a month or so before I really noticed this effect.
Anyway, I'm lucky that I didn't have to try a lot of different probiotic supplements before I found one that worked for me. I've been very happy with this one and believe it to be effective so I am going to continue using it.
