Great Mission Book, August 26, 2009
This review is from: Stepping Out (Paperback)
This is a great Mission book which was published before the advent of the internet and therfore has no web address, just postal addresses for some of the mission agencies recommended.
So why buy it? The book is a complimation of more than a dozen authors, all of whom have been involved in STMs and therefore are more than qualified to talk on the subject - many of whom have led dozens of STM teams across the globe.
The chapters are of good length, from 5-15 minutes of reading and whilst it is laid out systematically, can also be delved into from one topic or subject to the next.
Chapters on taking the children, married STM-ers and about delving into becoming a career missionary. Good chapters on practical discipleship, team work, relationships and how to to cope when home, reentry etc. and about staying healthy on the field and how to communicate wtc.
A revised and updated version with added webpages and removal of snail-mail addresses would make a great misison book, even better.
The best STM related mission book to date that i have read (and i've read nearly a dozen) is
