3.0 out of 5 stars too broadbased
The book is a self help book of common sense which we all pretty much already know. I was expecting a more technical manual. It is easy to read, but hardly groundbreaking.

5.0 out of 5 stars 7 Steps to a Healthy Brain, June 15, 2008

The following is a review of Dr. Paul Winner's book 7 Steps to a Healthy Brain

Historians think much of our knowledge was previously discovered by the ancients and recorded on scrolls lost in the burning of the library of Alexandria. Other than the fact that the seat of emotions lies in the brain and not in the heart, the insights, information, and recommendations in Dr. Paul Winner's 7 Steps to a Health Brain could only be a product of our present age. It is a virtual treasure chest of knowledge that captures and simplifies many relevant discoveries in the fields of medicine, nutrition, pharmacology, biochemistry, psychology, physiology, neuroscience and even philosophy. It is as close to a modern guide to the "fountain of youth" as science has achieved to date. It is a learned, optimistic, landmark work that should be read by anyone, including patients and professionals interested in living as long and well as possible. As Dr. Winner concludes "learn to look, listen, and feel everyday to maintain a healthy brain.
