This leash make it easy to walk two dogs.

The dog gets corrected by being pulled back into the heal position when its pulling, while the other dog (walking well) feels nothing on the leash.

When we do walk and I'm holding the leash in my hand, it's comfortable for me and also very sturdy.

Jake and Dexter are large and strong - Alaskan Malamute and Alaskan/Siberian Husky, respectively. They are smart, adventurous, and make King Lear's rant on the heath seem like just another day at the water park. After researching several types of leashes, I've concluded that this one is best. Again, let me emphasize the fact that both of these dogs are sled dogs: the Mals are usually in the back because of their incredible power and the fact that they don't take orders very well at all, unlike the Huskies who are a little better at listening to commands and so are put in the lead. Indeed, you do have to pick your battles with these dogs, especially the Mals; you have to let them make their own decisions (most of the time); because they're so intelligent and social, to be too domineering would really hurt them. (Neither dog is one for an owner who expects their dog(s) to perform on command.)

But I digress - as I often do when talking about my dogs! Because of the bungee-cord-like material this leash is made of, the dogs can pull but I can still maintain control. As with any two-lead leash, this product is not for the frail or the impatient. But if I can control Jake and Dexter on it with relative comfort, I think I could control any two dogs with this leash.

I do not normally review products, but I am so disappointed with this leash that I want to save you the trouble of wasting your money. The leash is advertised for two dogs up to 200 lbs. combined weight. I have two golden retrievers...one is older, obedient, and weighs about 74 lbs. The other one is 8 months old and extremely active, but only weighs 54 lbs. The young one can literally pull me around with this leash and there is so much stretch in the material that I can't control her. She is in the process of being trained and did show more respect for "the lead" prior to purchasing this leash. I am sure she knows if she exerts enough force, she can go wherever she wants and I have a very hard time discouraging her. I have even tried holding her section of the leash closer to her neck without any improvement. The other problem I am having is that the individual leashes come unhooked from the main handle portion. They are hooked on with the same type of connector as the end of the dog leashes and it isn't strong enough. Our dog continues to get away, just by pulling on the leash. I examined it and there is no damage...just poor design. I thought I researched my purchase adequately enough, but apparently not. There is no way this leash is worth what you pay.

I have five dogs and have been looking for and purchasing coupler leashes for years. I have the Wacky Walkr. I have purchased at least two other couplers. They are either two short, too confining or too heavy for small dogs. This coupler is perfect because it doesn't allow the dogs to tangle but it does give them freedom on the walk. They aren't on top of each other all the time. Also, it is very lightweight. I can't say enough how happy I am with this coupler. I am returning today to purchase another so I will have enough to walk all five of my dogs on it rather than use the wacky walkr. It's such a difference. I just returned from walking four of my dogs together and it was actually pleasant!

After trying various products (no pull harness/slip collars), this is by far the best hands down. I am very impressed with this leash...I just came back from a 2 hour walk and this was my best walk I ever had with my dogs. I have to Staffordshire Terrier's, one is almost 2 years and the other is 9 months, and we have some trying walks. I successfully trained my 2 year-old dog Samson to walk by myside without pulling by way of a choke chain, but when we rescued my 9 month Baby Girl, he seemed to have forgot how to walk! Our first walks together led me to be tangled up at least once every walk, and not enjoying my walk at all with my babies. I then tried the no-pull harness, but my dogs would get terrible sores under their arms and they seemed to pull harder than ever with it (even though the leash loop is in the front).

Shortly after these early adventures in walking, I began good old fashion leash training (with no choking correction) and simple changes directions (or stopped) whenever i felt a pull. This technique tested my patience, particularly because i walk my dogs at around 4 in the morning before work. I purchased this product on prime in hopes that it would allow my walks to be more enjoyable and allow me to leash train. We went out a few hours ago, and it simply a great walk. The dog gets corrected by being pulled back into the heal position when its pulling, while the other dog (walking well) feels nothing on the leash. After 5 minutes into our walk there was zero pulling from my older dog Samson and the little one pulled much much less than ever. In fact, halfway into our walk she gave up on pulling and walked at the heal positon alongside Sam. I felt like a pro!

The Good: The "bungie" action absorbs the sudden pulls from my Golden Retriever puppy. (Her adult Golden sister never pulls).
The Bad: The handle, which is wrapped in a rubbery foam, although comfortable, is beginng to tear and rip. I don't wear rings and my puppy weighs all of 35 lbs. There is no excuse for this after THREE weeks of use! I wrote to the manufacturer to complain, and I even included a link to photos I took showing the problem. All I got back was an auto-response, a promise of a future response that said "a Bergan team member will contact you shortly." I gave them a week to respond. That never happened. Poor customer service?

We have not heard of this and will be happy to forward this on to our Product Development Team. Do you happen to have the specific item number? Do you happen to remember what the tag looked like? We have changed suppliers. So it would be helpful to know if it is a old supplier or the new supplier. Oh and if you would please forward your shipping address so we can send a replacement that would be terrific.

Kindest regards,
Bergan Consumer Service
