I have been struggling with changing a few "habits". What I loved about your book was how you broke these down into bite sized pieces to look at, and ways to make it manageable to change.

Excellent read - now to follow through with my progress and the workbook.

How often have we read motivating books or been to a great seminar and then done NOTHING about it? This book is brilliant. It not only explains every aspect of how a habit is formed and why we have them, it also gives a step by step approach to changing a habit. All you have to do is follow the steps. Each one has numerous suggestions on how to achieve your goal, and what to do if you forget, or go back to old habits. I particularly love the extra hints. How easy is this:

"You might want to link a new habit with an existing one rather than trying to install a completely new routine. For example making your morning coffee the time when you plan and schedule your day. Or use your shower time to do affirmations."

This is the only how-to guide you need for habits. It says it all.

You may have heard that "Bad habits die hard". Not too difficult anymore after we have read this book.

The book highlights 7 practical steps for us to break our unwanted habits.

First, we must be conscious of which habits are not good for us. This helps us get rid of those unwanted habits in our lives.

Second, set goals to replace bad habits with good ones. Knowing what we want will help us set out goals.

Third, be highly motivated to change as breaking bad habits is by no means easy task. It would be easier when we know the why we need to change.

Fourth, create a road map for change and stick closely to it until we see the outcome. Without a blueprint there is no direction.

Fifth, change starts from making up our minds to do just that. We have to influence our subconscious mind in order for change to take effect.

Sixth, take massive action to implement out plans. Plans without action get us nowhere.

Seventh, keep track of change by reviewing progress on a regular basis. Tweaking the plans may be necessary as we move towards change.

The book comes with detailed instructions, worksheets and templates which make it easy for us to learn and implement.

Change is difficult for many - most. It is just part of our human nature to get into the comfort zone and stay there. The book provides the roadmap for change. Habits are difficult to overcome, but the author does a good job of spelling it out clearly.

Wow!

I am not yet finished the book but I wanted to share appreciation and
gratitude of how much it has changed my life so far. It has totally
transformed my understanding of habits with many brilliant strategies
for changing for changing them! Excellent results so far :-)

The daily exercises to do whilst changing habits are great and have
served to keep me on track and motivated which previously I had major
troubles with.

There is a heap of info in this book so will take me a while to digest
it all and put into practise but I can see these strategies are all
rock solid & I'm feeling so much more positive about my life and
future in general :-)

There are quite a few Christian references in here and I'm not a
Christian but they all make a lot of sense and I'm pretty open minded
towards other religions.

This book is a must read for anyone who wants more out of life and has
major goals they want to achieve. I am really grateful to the author
for doing all this research and putting together this life changing
information for such a low price..!!

Thank you!!!!

When I first heard about '7 Steps To Make Or Break Habits' I thought this could be really helpful. Little did I know I was about to learn things I wish I had learned years and years ago. What you'll read in this book has the capacity to change your life. Whether you think it or not, habits contribute greatly to who we do and do not become. Another thing I didn't know was even though a habit may be ingrained into who I am, its never too late to set new patterns in place. That means there's hope for us all. I seriously recommend you buy this book, read it, take notes about YOUR life in relation to what you learn, then set about living your life the way it was meant to be - becoming who you really want to be.

We're all products of our habits either they build us up or break us down. But if you don't know how to change those bad habits into good habits, you're screwed. Although I've previously read other books on changing habits I was pleasantly surprised that I came away learning lots of new information I'd never heard before. For example using a habit diary to gain a better understanding of my bad habits. Compared to other books I've got on my kindle, this is one book I won't be deleting for a long time to come.
