This is one of the best newer fantasies I have read, and I can't wait to get the rest of the series. The characters were realistic: both the kids and adults, and the suspense was intense! I want to be able to see through the eyes of an animal too! It left a lot of questions at the end, like, which of the adults, if any, can be trusted? This book's a definite keeper.
