There are a few things to like about this app, but more to not like. But for 99-cents you get 11 songs that you may, or may not like. Worth the risk for at least those included songs.

TRACKING:
Flurry Analytics
Facebook Tools

Quasi-IAP: You can easily accidentally click on the buy music, and possibly buy the music album or tracks. BEWARE FOR KIDS LAUNCHING THIS!

What I like:
Offline mode.
Offline mode downloads 11 songs, each of a different "mood".
Scheduling.
Some images are attractive.
Nice "Glass" theme of User Interface.

What I don't like:
ADS to buy music on Amazon.
No dimming of the app.
Portrait only.
Small clock.
Brand label across top.
Wants to update mood to Twitter and Facebook? Really??
If the developer goes under, no more streaming music.
BUG - Can't seem to turn it off after Snooze and leaving app; stuck on Download Moodpack.
BUG - For a second, the music starts at full volume, then goes to very quiet on the "Fade In" selection.

What I'd want:
Well, there's a lot I'd want, but here's a sampling:
Choose my own music.
Landscape Mode.
Remove branding at top.
Remove options to buy the music, at least from the main screen!

There is so much potential here. The problems with this app are EASY, QUICK fixes! It feels like a beta, and if the developer spent a little time working through some user testing and tweaking it, this app could easily become a 4-star app, and perhaps even a 5-star app. But so many issues right now leaves me unable to give it more than a couple of stars.

A nice alarm clock app with music would have been nice. Unfortunately it comes with a lot of baggage like Facebook, Twitter, Flurry Analytics and a long list of permissions. To top it off there are sort of IAPs to buy songs.

It is a clock but the size of the clock display is pretty small. I also don't like the self promotion logo shown on the screen all of the time.

This app has potential and could be really good. Please focus on what the app is supposed to do, be a clock. Let me play my favorite songs and get rid of the Facebook, Twitter and the logo. Enhance the graphics and make it more attractive and keep it user friendly.

Downloaded because it sounded cool and i was tired of the same ol rooster waking me up everyday. I got as far as downloading the music pack and then the app froze and is now stuck open in my status bar and i have tried deleting it from my phone 3 times without sucess. After i am done with this review i am doing a reset on my phone just to get rid of it.

I got this thinking that I will be able to wake up in the morning in a good mood. It did work, but with a few drawbacks. You can only have ONE all alarm at a time. People who have to get up at different times on different days, you'd have to change the alarm everyday. You cannot have two alarms at once. Also, even thought it says it'll give you the mood you want, for most of them it plays obnoxious songs that get you up in a bad mood. I don't like any of them, but I guess some people might. NOT WORTH ITS PRICE!!!!!!!

Neat looking app. There are a few issues and a few cool things. Be very careful with it when it is online as you could accidently buy songs on amazon. It does have some tracking software. On the cool side it is a meat idea that could use some polish. When it is all said and done three stars for idea and minus one for the semi in app purchase ability.

So I was pretty excited to see this on app of the day.. But after getting it ... BUZZKILL.. you can't preview the song/sound that you'll be waking up to and to make it worse, it hard sets an icon on the notifications menu that you can't remove. Why would a "paid" app leave no option to remove the icon? Uninstalled and back to using stock alarm

I really like that this alarm pulls a new song from the cloud every time it goes off. Some of the songs were more appropriate than others for a mood, but that is a matter of opinion.

After I downloaded the "moodpack," I tested several alarms in airplane mode, and it plays a selected song for any given mood.

This alarm clock only allows configuring 1 alarm at a time - no saving different alarms at different times for different days. If you want to be sexy on Tuesdays but energetic on Fridays, you'll need to delete the current alarm in order to set up a new alarm.

Unfortunately, for four of the alarms that I tested when going down the list of moods, the screen lit up with an image, the name of the song, option to buy, and stop / snooze, but there was absolutely no audio. In each case resetting the alarm with the same mood pulled a new song that did have audio. I was unable to repeat the no audio bug when in airplane mode, so perhaps the online location that some song were being pulled from no longer exists? I am a light sleeper, but not so light that my phone merely lighting up will wake me. If this app were reliable, AND play a different song each time, I'd use it every morning.

I think some of the other reviewers are being a bit harsh on this app. I really like it! It's like a cross between an alarm clock and Pandora. It's visually appealing; it's fun; it's cool.

Initially, I got the impression from other reviewers that there are just 11 songs used in the app. Not so! That's just if you go into offline mode.

If you are in online mode (the default), when the alarm goes off, it plays a random song from within the theme you specified (Happy, Dreamy, Energetic, etc.) If you don't care for the song it starts playing, you can tap the Fast Forward symbol and it'll skip to another song within the theme, just like in Pandora or Slacker. The song choice changes every time you hit Snooze as well.

If you like the song it plays and keep listening through to the end of the song, a different song will play, just like in Internet radio apps. And if you like the song enough to want to purchase it, you can do so, but it's not a one-tap process, so it is unlikely that you would accidentally purchase a song.

I don't do online social networking, but I see the Facebook and Twitter icons on virtually every website and many apps, so it doesn't bother me at all that they are here as well. And if you're someone who loves Twitter and Facebook and loves to broadcast things about your life, who knows? You may very well wake up and want to tell the world something right away.

I have to agree with another reviewer that Mood O'Clock Alarm isn't quite ready for prime time though. It seems like the developers are using Amazon's "Free App of the Day" feature to do Beta testing.
