Each human foot has more than 250,000 sweat glands and sweats up to eight ounces per day. This sweat causes your shoes to become breeding grounds for the fungus and bacteria that cause toenail fungus, athlete's foot, and odor.

I recently decided to get rid of toe nail fungus. The condition had been around for some time. I had learned about a new laser treatment for fungus and decided to give it a shot. Educating myself about the nature of toe nail fungus it became clear that re-infections are a problem. This includes re-infections from shoes as well. The Sterishoe addresses this problem. I have used the device for a while now and am pleased with it. The device is well designed, looks good and is easy to use. I have made it a habit to sanitize my shoes.
Treating fungus takes time and is quite expensive. I wanted to do it only once and things are looking great so far.

I've had foul odorous shoes for the last 10+ years.
I have tried bleach washed then sun dry them but the odor just come back in couple days.
I've also tried shoes insert but they too last for only couple of weeks.

The problem that generated this foul condition is due to my exercise habit. I go to the gym during lunch and my body continue to sweat for another 30-60 minutes after the shower. The moisture gets trap inside the shoes creating a great environment for bacteria.

In the past I had to purchase 1 new pair of sneakers and dress shoe every year.
Three months ago I finally bit the bullet and purchase a set of SteriShoe (size 10). Let's face it this is very EXPENSIVE. However it's worth every penny. Double interlock with ambient light and compression switch.
Now everyday I put my shoes in for one treatment midday at work and I get a fresh pair of shoe.

I can now confidently take off my shoe w/o any fear of offending others. This in my mind is priceless!

I started browsing for cedar wood shoe trees when I discovered SteriShoe. This shoe tree is so much more powerful than anything I have ever seen. I use it on my dress shoes and running shoes to help with unpleasant shoe odor.

The product is well built and good looking. It seems sturdy and is very easy to use ('simple push of a button').

Highly recommended and well worth the $$.
