I use this to store clothing in (and my roommate has one too, also with clothing inside). We both have all 3 drawers filled with t-shirts, other shirts, jeans etc. This stuff is thick and totally fills up the drawers, as well as puts lots of weight in them. I have my set up on an old wooden desk, and it does not move around at all, and even takes my cats jumping on it with no evidence of them having done so. In my roommate's room, he has the drawers sitting on the floor in front of a window (in between 2 taller wooden dressers) and the cats (we have 4 young adults about 10-15 lbs each) all jump on the set of drawers as well on the top of the dressers, and like to sleep on the LARGE pile of extra blankets that are sitting ontop of the drawers. This set shows no dramatic bending of the plastic top, though it does obviously get it to bend slightly under all that weight and stress. Top drawer can still be easily opened even with this slight "damage" to it.

I must say that I actually LOVE these drawers as they are just the perfect width for use with larger items (like clothing) and not just craft items or other small things, and the height of each drawer as well as the depth seem great as well. The only thing I could think of to ask for, would be to have them in different colors (like black) and maybe have the drawer plastic be a little bit more opague... I guess the frame plastic could be a bit thicker, but the 2 sets of drawers that we have in this apartment seem to be holding up pretty good with what we have so far tested them with.

I have several crochet projects in the works at one time. I had each project in its own tote bag, but I didn't like having 5 or 6 totes lying around. The Sterilite 29308001 3-Drawer Wide Cart with See-Through Drawers and Black Casters, White has been a perfect solution for me. All of my 'works in progress' are now stored in this cart. The drawers pull out smoothly. Four casters are included, but I'm not using them at this time.
I'm very happy with this purchase.

Another update...using under improvised baby changing table:
I thought I'd add this information to the review because it worked so nicely. A few months ago, I improvised a changing table for my grandson. I was visiting them for a month, helping them care for their newborn. They didn't want to purchase a changing table so I came up with this idea: I got their card table, we purchased one of these storage units, slid it under the table, put their diaper pail on the floor near the table, filled the drawers with clothes, bibs, socks, extra wipes, etc. We put some diapers & wipes on top of the table, a couple toys to keep him occupied during changes if necessary, etc. & it was ready to go. Much nicer than a purchased changing table. It worked perfectly & later they'll have the storage drawers to use for something else.

Yet another update... the top will warp/sag if you put items on top:
As with most plastic drawers of this type, you will probably find that putting items with a little weight to them on top will cause the top to sag which can make the drawers a bit difficult to open & close. I always put something on the top of mine, so it sags. My son's family is still using their storage drawers under a card table. His top isn't warped & the drawers open & close easily. I've used drawers of this type through the years & was aware that this would happen. I still really like these drawers but wanted others aware that this can happen. I think you could prevent any problems by covering the top completely with a piece of wood, hard plastic, etc. (I never tried this because the warp doesn't bother me).

For people who always lose things and can't remember where/what drawer stuff is in - this is great. Not furniture, not 'attractive' ... But can see through (not totally clear, a bit opaque, and you can easily find/remember where you put things (clothes, tool, 'stuff').

I did not know for sure, but after buying 2, I found you can easily stack them into one good sized unit. You have to remove the top plastic layer of one unit and the second one will snap snugly on top to create one seamless unit.

The wheels are optional, and I am not sure how stable these would be stacked and on wheels. But on flat carpet, it's stable and sturdy when stacked (if you remove the top of one, and stack (by snapping into place) the other on-top)

I bought this item to store craft supplies. Unfortunately, the drawers aren't strong enough to support the weight that the size allows. I don't think it can function with anything heavier than socks. The top is not reinforced so if you place anything on it, it soon warps which prevents the top drawer from closing.

I bought this item to store excess cables and computer stuff. They are very weak and started to bow and bend on the bottom drawer.As the other user said. This storage tower is only suitable for very LIGHTWEIGHT items. I bought this to hold paper instruction manuals and once I had the drawers more than half-full they started to sag. With all 3 drawers closed it is functional but don't expect to be opening and closing it when it's got stuff in all 3 sections. Even rolling it around at that point was an issue since the drawers can 'deform' the frame as it rolls around. I did a lot of rearranging (heavier papers in the bottom drawer) to see whether it made much difference---nope! Might be an inexpensive solution for excess underwear, socks, or ties, but not anything heavier.

Got this last week and I have to say that I am a little disappointed. The plastic is pretty thin. I put some stuff on the top of it (nothing heavy) and it is now warped, and the top drawer will not close properly. The side of the top drawer is already a little broken.

Overall, it is a decent product if you don't put anything too heavy in it or on top of it. The only reason I got this was because of portability- the unit is very light and comes with wheels. I don't think it's worth the $16 I paid for it though.

Take heed that this flimsy excuse for a cart can only handle the lightest items. Even software discs caused it to become top heavy and tip over.

One of the casters broke its flimsy insertion point on the second day, and this ended up in the trash
as a total and complete waste of money.

This is a relatively decent storage option, provided you're only storing lightweight items. It does *not* hold heavyweight items well - if too much weight is in the drawers, the drawers will not open. You also cannot put much weight on the top before it bends and obstructs the opening of the top drawer. However, these are remarkably inexpensive, and if you don't have heavy things to store, are worthwhile. Personally, I would have paid more for a more substantial storage solution if I had realized the limited use of these drawers.

I wouldn't say that these drawer carts are of the best quality compared to other brands, but their size is adequate for some extra closet storage. We use them in the office for a variety purposes and at home for extra clothes. Their height makes them easy to roll under most tables and under the hanging clothes. However, they can't withstand anything extremely heavy or the drawer will warp or not pull out properly.

My warning is that you can find these at another mainstream store for 50% cheaper than Amazon currently. Price check before you buy because these are definitely not worth paying more than $10 to $15!
