These beautiful amethyst earrings are a great buy. I bought them for personal reasons that I will share with you. Amethyst is the soberity stone. I got them as a gift for my fourth year of soberity and haven't taken them out of my ears since. I highly recommend buying them.

The earrings look as nice in person as they do in the picture. My wife loves them.

I love these earrings, they are set in a beautiful setting and the Amethyst color is a dark, rich color! The setting is different from any I have seen before! For the price they have met my expectation!

What did I expect for such a low price? To be able to actually SEE the gem stones! In the picture you can tell there are stones, but in person the stones are set so deeply in the silver setting that they cannot be seen with the naked eye. I had to use a magnifing glass to be sure the stones were there. I am quite disappointed even though I was not expecting anything GREAT for the price.

I love bezel settings and these r that but they stick out to far from the ear . . .
I would return them but time passed and it's to late now . .

At first I was a little disappointed in the color of the Amethyst in these studs. It is a very light stone color. I was hoping for the rich dark color, as shown here on the product page. The set I received was very pale, light Amethyst. I bought them to be worn in my daughter's second piercing hole, along with a set of dangle earrings. Unfortunately that won't work because the dangles are the nice, dark, rich Amethyst color, so these studs won't match. They are still nice studs though and my daughter will wear them with other earrings, or alone.

Another thing to be aware of is that the post is not center set on the stud. The post is attached to the side of the setting. The post is actually pretty long too, so I wouldn't recommend these for a small child because they would most definitely be poking them behind the ear. It also seems like they would be a little difficult to sleep in due to the length of the post.

I still gave these studs 5 stars because they are well made and are very nice sized. Just because they won't work for the specific purpose that I bought them, does not take away from their quality. The price couldn't be beat either with the 30 percent discount on top of Amazon's already low price! I am still very happy with this purchase and I would recommend these if you like the light, pale shade of Amethyst.

A gift box is included and the earring themselves are inside a small dark blue velvet pouch. There is a piece of cotton in the gift box, but it would have been nicer if it was the foam type of insert so that you could attach the earrings to it for a nicer presentation for gift giving. All in all I AM happy with the purchase and I would recommend these studs. Although I will still look for another set of studs for my daughter to go along with this set http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001RMFNE8/ref=oss_product which I highly recommend as well!

These earings made a great present for my sister. They are small and lightweight, so they can be worn often. They also look like high class jewelry.

Loved these earrings. Present for a friend's young daughter who was very pleased with the look. A helpful bit of information would be to present the item in a real dimension mode--would get a better idea of how big/small the item really is if shown "as is." Clearly this suggestion would work here because of the relative size of the product--but in any event, the recepient was pleased and that is all that mattered to me.

these earings are beautiful. They are just the right size and fit comfortably. The color of the stone looks great, these earings work great in a second ear whole or all alone.
