After reading the good reviews, I thought that this would look better. It is an interesting necklace but mine looks like a shiny black marble, it does not have a pearly sheen like the picture or a real pearl.

I received this product, and I can't beleive no scratch, shiny, good size of 13mm with chain with the good price. All peoples are looking for a good pearl I highly recomended this product "EXCELLENT"

I'm not the pickiest when it comes to jewelry but this impressed me and a bunch of my friends. VERY round and shiny ^___^ the pictures do not do this pearl justice and it's HUGE, 13mm is WAY bigger than I thought it was.

This necklace is amazing. The pearl is actually the size of a marble. Not like the small little pearls you see in stores. It is very shiny and beautiful. Great gift for anyone.

The pearl seems almost metallic to me. I suppose I was expecting a softer gray color. If I hadn't ordered this myself, I might haved puzzled over whether this was a shiny metal ball or a pearl. Also, as another reviewer noted, it's quite large. 13 mm is just over half an inch. Still, I like it. It just wasn't quite what I was expecting.

This necklace is absolutely beautiful. I'm very happy with the purchase. The setting is lovely and compliments the pearl well. However, I'm not sure that this IS a pearl. It is heavy, but too smooth when the tooth test is done and I can't spot any imperfections or variation. It's possible that there is a coating or that the dye filled in the pearl, giving it a smoother finish, but I don't think this is real. That won't stop me from wearing it, because it really is a lovely necklace.

Definitely not something you would want to hearld as an expensive gift, but I got my GF this a few months back just as a small gift and she loved it.

Nothing fancy, nothing cheap. But it looks cool.

I really wish the chain were longer though, I was scared when I saw it myself that it wasn't going to be big enough.

I gave this to my fiance for Christmas, I had to tell her it wasn't an actual black pearl because she was afraid to wear it because she might lose it. It looks very expensive and classy.

This item was incredibly disappointing.

The stone looks like a marble, not at all like a pearl.

The setting is MUCH larger and more ornate than the one shown in the picture. It appears to be made of thin wire instead of a casting as shown in the photo.

The chain in the picture has "Italy" clearly spelled out on the clasp. The item as sent has a "Made in China" tag attached to it.

I would not recommend purchasing this item for your loved one.
