I purchased this item for my mothers birthday as it is her birthstone and I am pleased with the purchase but let me give you a better description of the item.

As you can see from the picture it is a silver star with a blue topaz stone suspended in the center. One thing that you cannot gather from the posted picture is that the star is not two dimensional as it appears (I'll do my best to explain). The star is actually two stars separated by small posts roughly 2 quarters width apart, the reason for this is so the stone can actually be suspended within without protruding forward when worn. This feature does not take away from the look of the necklace but instead helps to accent the overall style.

When viewing such items on the site you must also take into consideration the sizes of the items, when they are pictured they of coarse appear larger to better show the details and it's very easy to overestimate the size. I myself overestimated the size of the item but in no way upset, the size of the pendant is somewhere in between the size of a quarter and a nickel. The chain ,though it does its job well, is thin and very easily tangled. When I received mine in the mail it was packaged within a small drawstring bag and that in turn was in a box but when I removed the necklace the chain was horribly tangled. If you're giving this as a gift make sure to view the item first and untangle the chain.

This is a beautiful necklace and a perfect birthday present, but I would suggest possibly purchasing a better chain something a bit thicker but not so big as to take away from the actual pendant itself.

This necklace is much nicer than it appears. It doesn't look at all flimsy or cheap. I bought one for a Christmas gift, and I liked it so much when it arrived, I ordered another one for someone else. It is perfect for a teenage girl gift, as it is small enough and very plain and simple, but the stone is really lovely and looks like it's of good quality. The chain is also fine, considering the size of the necklace. I wouldn't have wanted anything heavier for this piece. It is a good value for the price.

I ordered this pendant as a gift for my niece. It arrived in a nice little box and looked exactly as the picture displayed. I was very pleased and would purchase again from this seller.

This necklace looks gorgeous on and lays really well. It is a good length, but the chain seems a little cheap probably because it is. Great value for the price though.

This is a great necklace for any teenager. It is great quality and is not cheap looking. Great value for your money!!!!! It is a nice size for a young girl.

I have a friend whose birthday is in August and who happens to love stars and star jewelry. I ordered this pendant when it was on sale and am very happy with it. The color and clarity of the peridot is excellent, and the pendant is large enough to be noticed but small enough to be worn with a V neckline.

This necklace is great, however the chain could be a little better. I wished it didn't say china on the back of the star. overall my gf loves it.

I bought several of these for my 5 brides maids and every single one of them arrived in the mail in perfect shape! They came in boxes with felt bags and not one of the chains were tangled. In fact my brides maids still have them a year later and they still look good as new!!

The necklace is really pretty and I liked it but it really wasnt what I expected from the picture. It's like two stars connected at each tip with the peridot hanging from the top connection. I still liked it but just be aware that the picture isnt exactly how it looks.
