This has been found to be a good combination for maintaining the silver’s durability without harming its sparkle.

Silver should not come into contact with harsh household chemicals such as bleach, ammonia, or chlorine. To avoid scratches, store silver in a lined jewelry box or pouch, as it is prone to tarnish as it naturally reacts with sulfur or hydrogen sulfide in the air. I got the necklace and immediately put it on, and have received compliment after compliment every since, from men and women. It's a very modern and different piece that should go with just about every style, and it dresses up almost anything.
The necklace is very light, bright silver (someone called it "very new looking"). It would be amazing on luminous skin. As other customers have stated, the pendant is large - the size of a 50-cent piece - and sturdy. The chain is serpentine and delicate, and probably prone to damage. I imagine it will eventually have to be replaced, especially if I continue to wear it as much as I have.
Overall, a fabulous accessory.
