I've really enjoyed this compass and it has been a wonderful conversation starter. I bought this for myself along with a silver box chain by Stanley London. It is feminine, delicate and yet sturdy enough for every day wear. It is not "trinket looking" or too obtrusive but rather a well crafted piece of jewelry. There is just something symbolic about compasses, perhaps it is the idea of centering yourself and of finding your way through the world. I've truly enjoyed this necklace and would highly recommend it.

The compass was smaller than I expected, but that didn't detract from its beauty. If anything, it added a delicate aspect that a large, clunky thing would have missed. I LOVE this!

I purchased this for my daughter and she loves it. I received the locket in a very timely manner. Only concern is that the clasp is rather tight making it hard to open up to see the compass. I think that is better than a loose clasp that is alway falling open. Good experience, I would definately purchase from this vendor again.

From the packaging to the EXTREMELY fast service and communications with the comany, you know that you are opening the box to find something amazing. The locket truly is. It is quite weighty, very shiny and does have a working compass as the description states. There is not addt'l room for a picture but I didn't buy the locket for that reason. Keep in mind that it is approx. 4 mm thick- this is not a dainty locket but certainly one that will always remind you what direction you are heading-literally and figuratively. Would reccomend as a gift. especially for graduation. Received mine in about 3 days!

I got this as a Mother's Day gift to "always be able to find my way back to my boys." This is a beautiful piece of work with an additional value of functionality. It is about the same height as a stack of 6 pennies. It is simple and unique without looking like a junk charm. My only complaint is that it does not come with a chain, but, c'est la vie.

Of all the pendants I've owned -- I honestly think I like this the best.

This was a gift to myself; it has a very special and very symbolic meaning to me. I don't think I'd enjoy it so much if it weren't crafted sooo finely! It's exquisite, and the quality and detail is impeccable! I love that it can be engraved too! This is gorgeous!

I got this as a college graduation gift for my sister. It's very pretty. I happened to have a chain from another necklace that looked beautiful with it. I tend to switch the pendants on all my necklaces to this one chain I have that doesn't catch in my long hair, so I didn't need the other chain). I think I will be purchasing several more of these for graduation gifts (high school/college, whatever) in the future. My sister loved it an wears it every day. Maybe I'll even buy one for myself!

I guess I didn't read the description bvery well. I thought this was just a sterling silver locket in the shape of a compass rose. Imagine my surprise when I received the very pretty, solid piece and opened it to find..........a cracker-jack box tin compass. Veeeery cheap. I am in the Navy and thought it would be nice to give one to each of my baby son's grandmas for Christmas with a picture of him inside. No time to return them and shop some more, so I ppooped the cheap compasses out of the insides of the locket (which were barely glued in) and put the pictures inside. Now I am absolutely charmed with them and think they are lovely.

A cute charming gift for somebody who either appreciates gifts with a nautical theme, a sense of whimsy, or a curious mix of the practical and not. The clasp is very firm (but better that than weak) so this is not a good gift for somebody with weak or less than nimble fingers. The compass works fine and the silver case is nicely crafted.

Husband loves it. Don't get it wet, though. We bought a chain for it from Amazon, too, and he wears it everywhere but the shower. It's a tiny little compass and beautifully made, works perfectly, and looks good on him. Discreet enough for business.
