Anyone can be a star—or at least feel like one. The trick, according to Paris Hilton, whose childhood nickname just happens to be "Star," is to "always act like you’re wearing an invisible crown." Of course the right accessories help too, which is where this fabulous and flirty star pendant comes in. The one-inch diameter sterling silver star has a curvy contoured shape and is dotted with glittery Swarovski crystals in three shades of blue. In the 19th century, Daniel Swarovski invented a cutting machine and perfected the practice of cutting crystal. Today the Swarovski company makes crystal gemstones in an extensive range of shapes, sizes, and colors for jewelry and fashion design.
The star pendant hangs from a rosary-bead style chain made of links of sterling silver that alternate with round blue faceted beads. The chain has adjustable links so that it can grow from 16 to 18 inches, depending on your preference. It fastens securely with a lobster-claw clasp. An oval tag with the Paris Hilton crown emblem is fixed near the closure, reminding you to bear that invisible crown with style. Each piece in the Paris Hilton Collection includes a special certificate of authenticity autographed by Paris.
About Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton, the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, founder of the Hilton hotel chain, is a renowned jetsetter and socialite. I received this as a gift and am very happy with the necklace. The star pendant is smaller than I would have guessed from the picture, it is a bit bigger than your thumbnail, which I'm happy about because I didn't want something too big. The chain is just like the chain on her rosary bead/cross necklace in this collection, but with blue crystals rather than pink. You can also vary the length of this necklace by using the 2" or so of extra chain that extends past the clasp.

I just received my Paris Hilton blue star necklace and matching star earrings as well as the pink crystal earrings. I am just thrilled to death. The quality is very fine and it's even packaged elegant. I just love it and can't wait to order more.

This is my second piece from the Paris Hilton collection (I have the pink crystal heart shaped earrings also) and this is by FAR my favorite! I agree with the first reviewer, even though they give dimensions, for some reason I thought this would be larger. Still, it is absolutely gorgeous. Light blue is my favorite color, silver my favorite metal, so it's the perfect combination for me! Excellent quality, a nice 'weighty' piece, and I got a compliment on it the first day I wore it! Bring on more Paris Hilton jewelry!
