Sterling Silver Marcasite and Garnet Colored Glass Oval Wire Earrings

I had ordered these earrings for my wedding, luckily I had ordered early. I had to end up returning them. THey say online that they are garnet and the picture shown shows a gorgeous red. Don't beleieve it, when they arrived they were brown amber color. Don't get me wrong they are gorgeous earrings, I was just very upset that they were not the color I was promised.

The stones are glass, exactly as described, and appear in the photo. Too bad they don't look like garnet or another natural stone. The "stones" are red, it's just not deep blood red.

The metalwork with the macasite is exquisite, if anything better than the picture. The marcasite are tiny gemstones which are the same tone as the silver, but with mirror-like faces which sparkle--very nice! I suspect that the setting was intended to be used with a more expensive stone, to sell for several hundred dollars.

The stones are not as round as it looks in the photo---the backside is flat. The back is covered with silver "lace-work" but it is simple, not the elaborate detail of the front that's probably a good thing---the smooth silver is surely more comfortable against the skin.

Love em. I have the heart necklace, heart earrings, large teardrop earrings, and now these. Have gotten several compliments on the necklace.

I thought these would be red like Garnets but they're not. They're more like amber colored. I compared these earrings to a Garnet and Marcasite necklace I have and the stones did not match in color. I was disappointed with them because I wanted them to match and thought they would by the color presented on the website. I'm going to show them to others to see what they see and if they see the color as amber I'm returning them.

They would be perfect if the would be symmetrical like on the picture. But in reality they've sent me two lefts or two rights if you wish -kind of disappointing.

This are gorgeous earrings and my wife loves them. The only down side is that the color in the pictures are misleading. They are really really dark. They're still beautiful; but if you were hoping for a striking red brilliance, you wont find it here.

The pictures are accurate, they arrived on time and in their own boxes with their own certs. Top notch outfit. I would recommend to anyone. My wife loved them.

Never received them. Amazon refunded my money with no issue.
But I really wanted to have the product.
