Just like the necklace, the earrings are not red but an amber color (brown). Very disappointing. They still look nice but I wanted red as pictured. Decided to gift them for Christmas.

I uploaded my own photo to show you the actual color (and size) of the earrings and even my photo looks redder than the actual earring. I ordered two pair and they are both brown. Reviews of similar earrings sold by Amazon (Sterling Silver Marcasite & Garnet-Colored Glass Teardrop Earrings) report the same color problem.

I think the current price of $27.30 is a little high given the size and I wouldn't have paid that much for them in a department store. Nonetheless, its a pretty design and small enough to not look gaudy for work.

I purchased a beautiful marcasite necklace with heart shaped garnet colored glass, and matching (or so I thought) earrings as a gift for my sister's birthday.
I noted on the order, that this was a gift, so imagine my surprise, to learn that an invioce was enclosed with the PRICES listed.
Unfortunately, my sister was to embarrassed to tell me that the earrings are a different color than the necklace.
She loved the red color of the necklace, but the earrings have a brownish shade to them.
So here I am, past the thirty day return window, with a pair of brownish heart earrings.
My sister kept the necklace, with the hope of finding matching earrings elsewhere.
To be fair, these items are purchased seperately, not as a set.
And just compairing pictures of online jewelry can be deceiving...BEWARE!

In the Picture this Item shows to be RED but this Item is not red it is root beer colored I order it to match a neckless and I am very disappointed ...not sure if I will order any more from Amazon..with this being a Online company the Pictures should show what the real color is ... so if you think you are going to get this Item and it is Red like is shows ..you will be disappointed when you get it and see that it is Root Beer Color.....

Extremely disappointed with this product. It is not at all what I expected. It does not look like the picture given. This is just expensive costume jewelry. I have returned it and will not order jewelry from Amazon ever again.

Purchased this item along with matching pendant. Read other reviews and they're right... color is more red-brown like that of true red garnets than the blood red shown but I was expecting that so ok. Quality is very nice for an inexpensive piece & my Valentine liked them just fine. Did get a bit of a scare when told they would not be shipped to my residence until 4 days after Valentine's but then they arrived on the 13th so perhaps I just got lucky. All in all I'm very pleased with this purchase & would reccomend to others, just be aware color will be more brown than in the picture.

They look so bright and red in the photo, but when I got them they were dark brown, not what I expected.

Not sure what product other folks received. Mine were a nice shade of red. Great buy for the money. Got the necklace too and love that as well.

I saw these earrings on Amazon and I just had to have them. I love hearts and I wanted some heart earrings that were both metal and glass so when I saw these I purchase them. When they came I was pleased with the workmenship. The size was good and they weren't heavy on my ears. I will recommend them to anyone who ask where I got them. There will be a smile on my face when I wear them.

I ordered these for Valentines Day for my wife and, in spite of several cautionary reviews about color in particular, they arrived exactly as described and were a hit! The comments I received were all positive. High points for being unique very pretty. The color, by the way, was nearly identical to the photographs - a very attractive shade of red, perfect for V-Day! I only rated 4 stars, since... well, it was only yesterday! If they hold up, and she continues to enjoy them, I will upgrade to a 5.
