I was very happy with this purchase, as was my girlfriend! She was very surprised when I got her this gift, and it was quite the conversation piece at her party too. Her good friend gave me praises for getting her this because even she thought it was beautiful. So yes, if your a guy looking to get your special girl something nice, this definitely is very nice. It came in a jewelery box and a satin pouch, the chain is the flat box chain.. very lovely. Everything about this locket was nicely done. The intricate detailing, and yes.. it opens. Fit a picture inside and everything.. you could even do one on each side which is also a plus. I give it a full 5 stars simply because.. I CANT SAY ANYTHING NEGATIVE!! Price is awesome, packaging is awesome, locket is awesome, quality is awesome.. and thank you Amazon.. for delivering it in time for her birthday! I'm one very happy customer!
