In rebuttle in previous review about ring turning your finger green...
Actually, the fact that the ring turned your finger green PROVES that it is sterling silver. Most jewlery is covered with a Rhodium stain that prevents the reaction some people have with sterling silver jewelry causing a greenish hue to be left on skin afterwards. However, the stain is expensive, so if you buy fairly inexpensive silver jewelry, you can't expect it to be...

does not look like the picture
I love that this ring matches my great grandmother's antique garnet bracelet but one drawback is that the metal work, while gorgeous, is two toned. I don't know how to describe it. Halfway through the detailed part of the band it has bright silver work and then it has the silver metal work with a blackened background. I wish that all of the metalwork had the blackened...

Actually, the fact that the ring turned your finger green PROVES that it is sterling silver. Most jewlery is covered with a Rhodium stain that prevents the reaction some people have with sterling silver jewelry causing a greenish hue to be left on skin afterwards. However, the stain is expensive, so if you buy fairly inexpensive silver jewelry, you can't expect it to be there. The good thing is that clear nail polish on the inside of the silver item works almost as well, and will prevent you from getting the green stains. I have the same problem with silver and it's what I do with all my stuff, works really well.

My daughter will love this ring, she had her 1st child last Jan, and wanted a ring with her daughters birthstone, this is delicate and classy and I can't wait till Christmas to give it to her. Excellant delivery time too.

Although this ring is gorgeous, and very ornate (for such a small ring). There was one drawback. It turned my finger green. I only wear sterling silver or white gold jewelry, and I have many sterling silver rings, none of those rings have turned my finger green. This lead me to believe that the ring was not sterling silver as it states on the website. I would not recommend buying this ring, or any jewelry from the silver insanity company.
