Ever-fashionable black and white goes casual but crisp in this drop pendant that features a round black onyx and a pear-shape mother of pearl on a double black leather cord. The look is contemporary and minimal. Both elements are bezel-set or framed in sterling silver and they link to two sterling silver loops. The onyx is stark opaque black in both a cushion and a cabochon cut. While a cushion-cut gemstone mimics a square with rounded edges, a cabochon cut has a rounded dome rising above the setting. The pear-shape mother of pearl is iridescent white and falls below the onyx.
The thin 17-inch cords meet at a spring ring clasp. Onyx is opaque quartz and the black variety is generally dyed to achieve a more uniform color. Its metaphysical property allegedly offers protection. Mother of pearl is a shell’s iridescent lining. Featuring classically contrasting colors, this simple black onyx and mother-of-pearl pendant is versatile enough to wear with all but a ball grown.

Just what we've been looking for - a graduation gift that's both trendy and affordable.Most of us know that anything on a leather cord is considered "in" by sweet young things. So to find this onyx and pearl pendant on said cord was a happy surprise. A pearl is, of course, a classic fashion statement, and the addition of the leather cord makes it state of the art. Plus, the price is right! We think the grads we know and love will be delighted!

I saw this in my goldbox and was attracted by the product description. I especially liked the fact that despite its very simple modern style, every component is real stuff. I received my necklace in very nice packaging and can't be more pleased. Everybody who saw me wear this told me how nice it looked on me. It can be a really lovely gift for yourself or your friends.
