I received this as a gift after mentioning to someone that I had seen it on sale, and I thought it was cute. Lo and behold, the next time there was a gift-giving occasion, I opened up a box, and this was in it. Needless to say, I was extremely pleased! I have quite a few necklaces from Amazon, but there are some things about this one that set it apart. First, it is decently sized. Even the best-looking pendant can't be seen if it's too small. This one is not so big that it's flashy, and not so small that it can't be seen by others. Second, the chain is sturdy. With a smaller pendant, it wouldn't matter as much, but this chain is sturdy enough so that I don't worry about it breaking on me. Finally, the design is fantastic! It's unusual, and I haven't ever worn it without getting a compliment on it. It's that nice! Good job, Amazon!

The chain is sturdy, and sized well for the pendant, not too thin, yet not too thick.
The stones are evenly colored, and well sized together.
The umbrella pendant is sturdy and well crafted.

I was thinking of giving this as a gift for a friend 'under the weather', but it's really THAT adorable. So, if you see this offered again at a great price, or decide to get yourself (or someone else) a little something, make sure to get two and save one for a rainy day!

I bought this for myself but it was so nice I ended up giving it to a friend and am considering getting one for myself. Nice size and weight, pretty stones, cute design!

I purchased this necklace for my 84 year old mother in law. When it arrived, it was "OK" looking, but the stones didn't really "pop" in color like I expected. Then, on the 3rd day she wore it, the flimsy chain broke, and the pendant itself isn't very heavy! She happened to be visiting us, and that's when we gave it to her, and I ended up having to buy a more durable 18" chain to go with it. I suppose the $39.99 price should have given it away, but since Amazon always has good prices (it cost more on another website), I guess I expected more, especially since previous reviews were good. I would not recommend this necklace.....

This was on my wish list and I got it as a gift. The pendant is a good size, and it is easy to spot its unique design. Position of the bail also makes it tilt at the very cute angle. It is of a decent weight also. HOWEVER, I was disappointed at the dull colors of the stones -- all of them. The picture is deceptive and almost seems like a drawing compared to the real thing! The chain seems all right, but a little flimsy. I decided to keep the pendant because it is unique, but just bear in mind there is truth to all the reviews, positive and negative.
