I just received this item, I got them sooner than what they previous estimated. They arrived along with a mini velvet bag to store the earring in to protect them.

The earrings are bigger than what I pictured. They are roughly about the half the size of a dime or the size of a female pinkie nail. The color is a nice medium color purple. According to the tag they are made in Canada instead of China.

I am very satisfied with this product and will most likely buy more in the future.

I ordered these earrings with the matching 8mm necklace and they are very pretty. The stones are very bright and clear. I think my friend will love these.

LOVE THESE!! These arrived faster than predicted, which was a nice surprise. The amethysts are brilliant, and a deep color. I had to double check that they were truly amethysts and not CZs, they were so beautiful! These are really quite the steal for the price. I may go back and get the citrine and blue topaz earrings as well.

The item is said to be sterling silver but a short time after my wife put them on, she began having a reaction to the metal. These are NOT surgical sterling silver so if you don't react to metal other than sterling silver then these are for you. Otherwise...!

I bought these earrings because of reviews that said they were decent quality and had colorful stones. They were/had neither. I didn't expect much for $19 and was still disappointed. The posts and mountings were bent and not centered. There is almost no color to the stones. The only thing as promised was the size. Maybe the ones made in Canada are different; these came from China. I have generally been very pleased with products purchased through Amazon, this was an exception.

when you buy gemstone earrings, one of your first priorities is the color of the stones of course. these are a very nice shade. i am pleased. also, to see that they are made in Canada is a pleasant surprise. a very good purchase.

Got these earrings to match the 8x6MM 1.20 CT Oval Cut Amethyst Ring In Sterling Silver In Size 7 that I bought and the amethyst flower pendant that I already have. Again, the shade of the stones is different from the one shown on the page, but it's more purple and less blue, so I like it. The earrings are fair-sized for studs, and they get noticed on my ears even when I wear my wavy, shoulder-length hair down. My only gripe is that the silver posts and earring backs are spindly and fragile--I have to be very careful or else I'd bend them in no time at all. I'd normally wear such studs all the way to bed, but I don't dare do that with these--I'd lose them in 2 days! Otherwise, I'm happy with my purchase. I wouldn't pay any more for them, though.

The earings were big, and beautiful, and from what I could tell were good quality (they were a gift so I didn't have a chance to wear them myself), BUT...and this is a big but...they were NOT the color you see in the picture. The person I got these earings for has an amethyst ring, which is a bright, rich, deep purple that looks exactly like the picture shown for these earings. So for a gift I bought these earings to match her ring. When the earings came, they were a clear pinkish/purple. They did not look like amethyst, and they definitely did not match her amethyst ring, not even close, not even from a distance. If amethyst comes in different shades of purple, which may very well be the case, then that is perfectly fine, but when a picture is shown of the product you are buying, I assume that I will get what I see. That was not the case. So, if you don't care what color your amethyst earings are, then by all means this was a great buy, but if you want what you see in the picture, buy them somewhere else.

After looking at a few other gems on the internet these made the cut.

These are not to large nor to small.
We like the rich and clear transparent color.

I love these earrings. I love the bright purple color and the backs stay on even if I leave them in over night.
