I excitedly purchased this item--I liked the plain, elegant look of it.

However, it is tiny. It cannot hold on to my tie in any useful manner. Worse, it bends out of shape. And lastly, it arrived scuffed.

They made me pay for return shipping! What a joke!

The tie bar was perfect and exactly as advertised. The shipping was lightning fast and the customer service was simply amazing. Any time I need any kind of jewelry, I will check with this merchant first.

As stated in the title. This gift was received and the statement was "Just What I Wanted".

This is a glorified paper clip, a bent piece of stainless steel that is too small to clip a normal sized tie properly. To clip a tie about the middle of the tie to the shirt beneath, the tie has to hang to the left, making it look really stupid. The name says "Sterling Silver" but I am no fool, this is stainless steel. It came with scratches that worsened with I tried to polish it. I would return it, but it is so small, it fell off, and I can't find it. I got another clip, a proper one with a springed clip on the back, and normal size. This one is a waste of money.

As others have noted, this tie bar is really small. Do not intend to use this tie bar with ties 3 inches or wider. Frankly, I wonder why I bought this silver tie bar, when a stainless steel tie bar would have been the same. But if you are looking for a diminutive tie bar, say to complement your slim sleek look, this is the one to get, especially if you value silver above steel.

The tie bar is too small to be use consistently. I find myself often adjusting it or making sure that its on properly throughout the day.

Well it is kinda malleable. I don't know exactly how silver, though. I don't actually know much about silver in general. I like it..

Except last night, I had just gotten home to my apartment, and I was using the bathroom and stuff. Anyway, I had seen that I was wearing the tie bar before I sat down on the toilet. When I had finished the business, I got up and looked in the mirror again and saw that the tie bar had magically disappeared. Now obviously it could only have ended up in a few places. On the bathroom floor, in the toilet, in the sink, in the bathtub, or in my pants. So I looked for about a half hour and then went to bed. The next day at work, I went to the bathroom and I'm standing in front of this urinal, I unzip my pants, and the tie bar bounced out onto the floor. So as I peed, I stared at it. And when I had finished peeing, I stared at it some more.

See, that's kinda goofy, but the weird thing is, I was wearing a completely different pair of pants. You should say it in the description that this item is enchanted, because I was completely misled.

This tie bar is small, very small, but it works very well if you wear skinny ties(like me, short and thin)

Looks great! I've worn this and have had many compliments given. The only minor problem is that the size of the tie bar makes it only useable with ties with a 3" or smaller width, since the bottom part is about half the width of the top part. Basically, you might have to wear it higher up on the tie. I think this one is used best on 2" skinny ties for these reasons.

The tie bar is approximately the size shown... I wasn't expecting too much due to the low price and was suprised by the small size of the item. However, the tie bar does the trick. It may rest a little higher on your tie in order to clip to your shirt but I've had many complements.
