It looks wonderful.

Clock has begun to lose time over the past couple of months; over an hour a day.
Otto 80
I really hope it will last as the ones from the old days used to.

I bought this clock after buying one of the retro Westclox windups made in China. The Westclox was all plastic inside and out, and failed after a few months, so I searched the web for a quality windup clock and found this one. All metal construction--including the gears inside. I've had it for about three years now and it works like it did on day one. Keeps excellent time for at least 24 hours after winding. As the other reviewer noted, its ticks are quite loud so my wife makes me put it in an adjacent bedroom. The alarm will wake the dead--even when it's not in the same casket.

Ive had one of these about a month now. After some fast/slow adjustment it keeps great time. However. The clock likes to stop ticking while winding and needs a shake or two to get it going again. Also the winding key is loose. The "wings" on it are loose from the stem. It does come with a year warranty but im not to confident in the ability to fix something that is made from cheap materials. I know the main selling point is "brass works" and as said, it does keep good time but the clock feels cheap just the same. I have a Big Ben and Baby Ben, both made mid 50's to mid 60's and both keep good time and are made of much better material than this clock. At the risk of sounding like my late father, "they dont make them like they used to". This goes for Sternrieter as well.

This is a great rendition of the classic brass alarm clock at a reasonable price. Made in Europe, fully mechanical (keywound) alarm and movement, and with all-metal parts as far as I can tell. Be warned though if you buy it that it has a very distinctive and rather loud tick, definitely not for light sleepers!

I purchased this clock just over a year ago after reading the reviews. Clock has begun to lose time over the past couple of months; over an hour a day. Numerous second hand (+ -) adjustments have not yielded improvements. The environment in which it operates is maintained by central heat and air. The clock should not require service/lubrication after one year.

Doesn't keep time very well. Two weeks after using it the alarm doesn't work anymore. It appears to be a well made clock but something about it makes it feel cheap.

Great service from Expression of Time. Clock ran good for a month, then about an hour fast every 24 hours. Customer rep was very helpful and is working to solve issue. Maybe just a lemon. Seen nothing but good reviews on this clock.

My husband has a difficult time hearing any of our alarm clocks in the morning, and when I'm out of town he often oversleeps (at least until our golden retriever's tummy alarm goes off). He decided he wanted an old fashioned, windup, two-bell alarm clock so I started looking and found this one. It is worth every penny. It's attractive, loud without being painful, and it runs down on its own in a reasonable time. I gave it to him as a gift and he was delighted!
