Product Description

The Munchkins are now spies . . . eliminating the opposition, playing with self-destructing gadgets, and changing loyalties even faster than they change hats.
Be a Playboy, Tourist, or Assassin. Report to the Americans, Russians, British, or Chinese (it'll change!). Wield gadgets from the subtle Cigarette Dart Gun to the amazingly unsubtle Bazooka with Incendiary Ammo. Eliminate foes, from the pathetic Defective Defector, through the Interro-Gator and the Not So Secret Police, up to the mighty Super Spy himself. And (all together now) . . . Take Their Stuff!
You can play Munchkin Impossible by itself, or combine it with any number of other Munchkin games for more shameless silliness.

Great game, lots of fun.

The basic set has a good balance of monsters to provide challenge, augmentation and deflation cards for fights, good stuff and fun abilities in loyalties and classes.

I've played many of the Munchkin games and own several. The mechanics are the same for all: start as a generic level 1 human and advance to level 10 by defeating monsters, selling goods and special bonuses. Draw from the door pile - if it's a monster - fight, ask for help (or get the monster augmented or weakend by other players) and /or run away. If it is a trap, resolve it. If it is something else it goes to your hand. Collect treasure cards from defeated monsters or trading or helping other players, and use the bonuses to help defeat the next monsters. Backstab your friends frequently, steal their stuff and cheat, sometimes with both hands!

Impossible sees the Munchkins in the super spy world of Bond, The Saint, The Prisoner and Austin Powers. The basic set has a good balance of monsters to provide challenge, augmentation and deflation cards for fights, good stuff and fun abilities in loyalties and classes. Play can change from impeding victory to defeat as you go from unstoppable superspy to all out Spy-vs-Spy, or have another player pull an underhanded sneaky spy move to suddenly pull ahead or make you lose levels.

Of all the Munchkin series I have enjoyed the Original, Bites! and Impossible the most for overall game balance and smart, funny card names, functions and joke references. This one should generate some really fun suppliments.

This Munchkin is great-- much better than many of the others. It features items designated as guns, cars, knives, etc, and a sidekick who gets you treasures! There's James Bomb, the Femme Fatal (of course), and a really big pile of gadgets. You can be a double agent or a triple agent, and even fight Agent Orange. The villains and gadgets are as silly as always, but the penalties and rewards are more cleverly thought out than in other adaptations. Every class and loyalty had really cool abilities, the best I've seen so far. A must for Bond fans, sf fans, gaming fans, and everyone else.

I've played, Bites, Zombie, Original, and now Impossible. Here's what I think. As a stand alone, it's good.! Probably the one you want beginner munchkiners to play with you, especially if they are not about the DnD wizards and spells of original munchkin. The spells in this one aren't too fantastic or different from other games, but the theme is nice to play.

I think the spin off munchkins all work better when combined. Impossible Bites, Zombie Impossible. We've played a variety and in my opinion, this addition to munchkin, although fun, works better when combined.

If you like Munchkin and you aren't already dead...than you will love this game too.

It's a well known fact that the Munchkin card game transcends mere fun into pure joy. It even transcends cultural barriers as you don't even have to be a geek or nerd or whatever to enjoy playing (though it certainly helps!).

Pros: Fun, funny, and similar to other munchkin games

Cons: Doesn't play as well as original or star

I've tried many versions of Munchkin, and this one is among my least favorite (along with Munchkin Zombies). For some reason it doesn't play as well as the original version or Star Munchkin. It has a funny theme and has the usual jokes/humor as you would expect from Munchkin games. I've tried pairing it with Star as well, but it didn't work out too well.

This game is hilarious. Recommended for everyone in the family. It was witty monsters and weapons. It is my favorite, followed by the Original Munchkin, and then by Munchkin Booty.

So in a nutshell, I bought this edition after plaing the original a few times and because I have a particular interest in anything spy related. I haven't played it often but I do it enjoy it more than its predecessor. However, due to the different design of the back of the cards, I can see it not being such a smooth transition to combine it with other editions as said is more than welcome in the instructions. There's not much else to say, the humor is riveting, puns are heartwarming. BRIZZY APPROVED*
