Product Description

The Good, the Bad, and the Munchkin opens a whole new frontier - the Wild West! Forget dragons and goblins - Jackalopes and Davy Croc have just as much treasure. Those plains may seem wide open, but there's lots of monsters to kill, and lots of stuff to take. Become a Cowboy with a Twenty-Gallon Hat, or an Indian on a Catamount. Fight Wild Bill Hiccup, the Killer Jalapeno, and a Barber Shop Quartet. Take The Annual Bath for an extra level. Or just pal around with your sidekick the Greenhorn, until you sacrifice him to distract a monster. The Good, the Bad, and the Munchkin is the next stand-alone game in the award-winning Munchkin line. Steve Jackson and John Kovalic have teamed up again to put puns to paper like no one else can. Head 'em up and move 'em out, and get ready to wander the Grim Roper into somebody else's combat and make him Rootin' Tootin'" for +10 . . ." Re-implements: Munchkin. Part of the Munchkin series.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Munchkin fun continues, December 30, 2007

This is yet another installment of the highly successful Munchkin series of card games. As with the others, it can be played as a stand-alone or mixed in with the others for extra humor.

My gaming group plays a lot of Munchkin, and between the 6 of us we have purchased every set. Most of the time we play a "genre" by itself, then switch for variety. But sometimes we mix them up.

What else can I say? If you like puns, this is a great game. If you like card games with an extra dose of humor, you'll like this game. The gameplay takes a little while to learn, but it gets fast once you've played a few games.

Be sure to know your cards on the table! Many times I could have gotten out of a situation by simply remembering what I had down or in my hand.

We bought this and Star Munchkin for the sole purpose of being able to play what we call "Firefly Munchkin" since you have the space aspect along with the western :)

Overall, this is probably one of the best Munchkins to date!

My sister bought this game after playing the original Munchkin. We don't think it is as fun to play as the original was because many of the cards are ambiguous. Much of our game is taken over by arguing about what the cards mean rather strategies, alliances, blackmail, or bribes. This game definitely is heavy on puns and the cards are really funny.

The gameplay is slightly altered from the original to allow for steeds. The gameplay is also slower paced than the original. It can take a long time to really get the game started.

Classes in this game are really important as they have very specific functions. Cowboys, for example, can win at the game at level 9 if they have a steed. Outlaws go up a level every time Bad Stuff happens to another player. You really have to pay attention because people can very suddenly jump several levels and surprise you.
