I bought a pair of these (white, size 14) for casual wear with khaki shorts and jeans. I was very happy with them when I first put them on; they looked great out of the box and for the first handful times I wore them. However, soon after that both shoes started to tear on the outside of the heel right by the seam. This is the only pair of Steve Madden shoes I've ever owned. Therefore, I do not know if this is typical with this brand/this style of shoe but it will make me question getting this brand in the future.

i purchased this pair of shoes in black from a Steve Madden store. i love them, they're the most comfortable dress shoes i've purchased. i work a retail job that requires me to wear dress clothes so i wear these every day for work. the stitching on the heal of my left shoe is coming undone and the material is starting to tear a bit. nothing major at the moment but it is a cause for concern that they might be trash in months time and i'll be stuck searching for another pair of comfortable dress shoes that can withstand my full time retail job. they breath and were very easy to break in. i may purchase another pair if this current pair doesn't hold up simply because i've gone through so many expensive VERY uncomfortable dress shoes in search of a pair that won't cause my feet to hurt and get extremely sweaty during an 8 hour work day...this pair fits my needs perfectly, just wish they would hold up better.
