I love the style of this boot but Steve Madden succeded in making this the most uncomfortable boot I've ever tried. The pre-formed toe is hard and leaves no room for softening. The slouches are pre measured and poofy in the back. When the boot is on it resembles a spaceboot. If anyone knows where I can find a soft, slouchy, flat, black, suede or leather boot for less than $100.00 please let me know!

The style is cute, and the price is cheaper about $30 then in department stores BUT..I checked them in the store, and size 7,5 was good (normally I wear size 8). I ordered 7,5 and they too small! I saw other review that one person ordered size down and was ok, I guess they`re very off. It was really uncomfortable and painful after a few seconds of trying for my toes. I wanted to reorder size 8, but I think I`ll pass (maybe for $30-40 I`d buy). They cute but kind of cheap.

i love these boots. i got the brown pair and they go with almost everything. i think they have the right amount of "slouchiness" and i find them very comfortable. the calves are a bit loose on me.

i do have a problem tho - one of boots stays on my calf, the other is for some reason softer and "slouches" a few inches lower. maybe one of my calf is just skinner...anyone know how to make the slouchy one stay in place? i personally want them to stay a little below my knees, not below midcalf.

I recently bought these as a Christmas present for my daughter. I was more than a little disappointed to see visible globs of glue affixing the sole, which is paper thin, to the boot itself. The 'slouch' is permanent and not symetrical or flattering at all. I returned them rather than wrapping them - The purchase price was 79.99.... are they joking? These looked more like a 19.99 pair of discount store boots.

These boots are kind of strange. They aren't really slouchy enough. They just look sort of bunched up in one place rather than being slouchy all over. They are also NOT true to size. I would recommend buying them at least a half size larger than normal.

For everyone out there who is questioning getting these boots, i was in that position. I thought these boots would not live up to my expectations. When i was looking at the sizes in the brown, i was disappointed to find that they did not have size 8 1/2. Instead i ordered 7 1/2, i had a feeling they would not fit. Choosing the smaller size was a terrific decision, looking back i now know that if i had picked any other size they would not fit me correctly. The boots go up to a little below your knee, they are able to slouch easily by scrunching the suede. The brown is such a pretty color, very dark chocolate colored. I love them. I highly think of these boots and would recommend them to any and everyone.

Very cute and comfortable boot. Looks good with jeans tucked inside and skirts both long and short.

I first saw these on the macy's website and then went to the actual store to get them. They are taller than I originally thought, almost coming to my knees. They are not as slouchy as I'd like. I had to get them a a half size bigger because I couldn't get my foot into my regular size. I got brown because the gray just seemed too blah. But, they are my first boot and I get compliments on them every time i wear them! They're cute with dresses and skinny jeans!

Though I cannot vouch for the shipping speed or quality of customer service (I bought these boots in a Macy's store quite a long time ago), I felt like adding my two-cents about the longevity of these fairly cheap boots. I got these boots in gray when I was a sophomore in high school and have been able to wear them pretty heavily throughout the past four years. Only recently have I noticed that there are holes beginning to form on the bottom, near the heel. I never, ever usually keep shoes long enough to get real wear holes in them! My tendency is to buy inexpensive shoes, then throw them out once the sole starts get dirty-looking or get a not-so-nice smell -- or when they get holes because they're just cheap. These boots, though... believe me when I say that the holes formed on the heels of these boots were formed from loving and frequent use. I cannot say enough nice things about these shoes. They fit comfortably and never gave me blisters; they looked great with jeans, tights, or with bare legs and a skirt; they could be pulled straighter or left to slouch more -- I could go on. I will say, after about three years they didn't like to stay "up" so much and remained in a permanent "slouched" state, which was fine with me. I was still getting compliments on these boots up until a week ago when I decided that if I let the holes get any bigger, it would just be ridiculous. I hate to part with these boots! Know that if you do get them (and they're really pretty cheap in comparison to other boots I'm seeing on this website) you have a potential investment for years (literally) of all-weather wear. Well, not so sure about snow. I'm a California girl, so these boots only had to see sun and rain.

Get these boots! I would not hesitate to buy them again, but after four years of wearing the same boot style, I thought it was time for a change ;)

Ordered these boots about when i did a completely different pair came up on the confirmation.

A week later i'm still trying to figure out when i'll actually be refunded by this company.
