Pretty good, but no passion,

This book has good information about how to get local housing, but after that it starts to go downhill. What's missing is passion and interest. England is a fun place to visit, but this book left me feeling cold about England. Get the book for its advice on housing, but get a different book for the sights and attractions.

I used this guide for almost exclusively for England. The restaurant recommendations were the best - they were cheap, but good food. The attractions he recommends are great.A must if you are planning to go to England.

This is an excellent guide book for England and Ireland. I hope the '99 edition contains more detail on Ireland.
