About the Author
Jeffrey Goettemoeller is a lifelong gardener and plant lover. He has been featured in Back in Thyme magazine and quoted in Organic Gardening. The founder of Prairie Oak Seeds and publisher of the yearly Directory of Flower and Herb Buyers, Mr. Goettemoeller is also the author of Wild Everlastings: Drying and Using Wildflowers in the Midwest. He is currently an enthusiastic participant in a Stevia cultivation research project.

More About the Author
Jeffrey Goettemoeller grew up gardening alongside his dad and went on to earn a B.S. degree with a major in horticulture at Northwest Missouri State University. Under the direction of Dr. Alejandro Ching, Jeffrey completed a published research study on the production of Stevia rebaudiana seeds. Years later, he still grows and studies the sweet herb, stevia. He's also interested in sustainable agriculture, sustainable energy, organic gardening and farming, and his Catholic faith.

I've tried several of the stevia cookbooks that Amazon carries and this is the one. The recipes use whole-grain, healthful ingredients - so you end up with food that's not just sugar-free but overall good for you. They taste great and are easy to adapt and tweak. We make muffins based on his banana bread every week. Also this author skips the evangelizing, etc that most of the other books are padded with - just "here's a natural sweetener and how to use it." Really excellent.

The content of Jeffrey Goettemoillers cook book is excellent. I am allergic to wheat and milk, along with sugar. Some of his recipies are wheat and milk free. The recipies for everyday foods; [ketchup,Granola, etc.] are great as you can now have sugar free ketchup, and wheat free granola. Thanks for a great book.

So far I have only tried one recipe...the apple pie. Everyone loved it. I really like this book because it is completely healthy. Not just sugarless. It also calls for whole food products, not refined. They try and stay away from dairy as much as possible. They give you options just in case you might not like a certain something. Intelligently written.
