Book Description

Halsey Morgan has blazed a trail of adventure from the Himalayas to the Amazon, but nothing he’s seen in the whole wide world has prepared him for Colorado tavern owner Stevie Lee. Dangerous curves packed inside a pair of tight jeans and a “Dynamite” T-shirt, the woman has been counting on him staying shipwrecked and lost in the South Pacific – permanently – so she can buy his cabin for back taxes. He doesn’t hold it against her, not when all he wants is to hold onto her.

Stevie only wants one thing – to get out from under the darn Trail’s End bar before it sinks her. There’s a whole world out there somewhere beyond the boundaries of her small mountain town, and she’s determined to explore it. All she needs is Halsey Morgan’s cabin and the money she’ll get selling it. Then the lost adventurer turns up alive, walking out of a late spring blizzard and into the Trail’s End, a sun god with midnight smiles and indigo blue eyes – ruining her plans and setting her senses on fire with the intensity of his desire. She never knew love could be so hot, or that a man could strip her senseless with tenderness and passion. But is the risk of loving him and losing him more than she can bear? Or can Halsey convince her she can have it all, if she’ll only follow her heart and her dreams...straight into his arms.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Read from Tara Janzen January 8, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'm a die hard Tara Janzen fan. Having read all her Steel Street books, I'm used to this writer in romantic suspense mode. This work is a traditional romance. However, Tara still shines for me here. Stevie Lee is a strong character, and I believe she exemplifies what a number of people go through or are going through--the sense that they are stuck in a never ending cycle that's going to tip them over the edge of boredom if they don't get out. Stevie likes adventure, but initially it seems that she's choosing security over her need to go exploring. In steps Halsey Morgan, a man who has lived the life of a world trekker that she has only dreamed about. The sparks that fly are electric, and Tara delivers in the romance department. In the end it's fulfilling to see Stevie releasing her reservations and stepping out into adventure, both real life world treks and explorations and into the greatest adventure of all, which is a lifetime of love with the man who holds her heart and who loves her back equally--Halsey Morgan.

4.0 out of 5 stars These are fun, unrealistic characters July 23, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
These are fun, unrealistic characters, but a fun read. Kind of predictable, but always fun. Romance through Tara Janzen's eyes is an interesting rock road that usually ends the way you want. I would recommend any romance novel reader to try this one or any of hers.

More About the Author

TARA JANZEN, New York Times bestselling author, is the creator of the acclaimed Steele Street series of romantic suspense novels about a hotshot crew of former juvenile delinquents and car thieves in Denver, Colorado who grow up to become one of the U.S.A.'s most elite black ops forces. The eleven book series begins with CRAZY HOT and CRAZY COOL and finishes up with LOOSE ENDS. One of the books is on AMAZON'S TOP TEN ROMANCE LIST - LOOSE AND EASY, 2008. Three of her books are on the Romantic Times ALL-TIME FAVORITES list - RIVER OF EDEN, CRAZY WILD, and SHAMELESS.

Writing as Glenna McReynolds, she is the author of thirteen Loveswept romances, an epic medieval romantic fantasy trilogy, THE CHALICE AND THE BLADE, DREAM STONE, and PRINCE OF TIME, and a contemporary romantic adventure set in the Amazon, RIVER OF EDEN. Tara loves doing research for her books, and her love of anthropology and the natural sciences has helped her create the landscapes of her novels, from the rich historical background of THE CHALICE AND THE BLADE trilogy, to the shores of the blackwater rivers flowing through the Amazonian rain forest in RIVER OF EDEN. Her love of the shooting sports and American muscle cars fuels all the "crazy hot" and super fast-paced Tara Janzen novels of the Steele Street series.
