5.0 out of 5 stars Yoga Stick-e Socks
Great product! Ordered from another source and purchased both the socks and Stick-e Gloves. I sweat and slide on my yoga mat-very frustrating. These really help keep me in place. I wear a size 7.5-8 shoe and found that the size small is better for me. The gloves only come in one size, but stretch to fit. The toe separation keeps the socks firmly on your feet as opposed...

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible quality. Not worth the money!
Let me start by saying that these socks are a great idea. They really did help keep me from slipping during my hot yoga routine. However, I bought three pairs of these socks. Out of 6 socks, 5 peeled and cracked on the first use. On one sock, almost the entire sticky part came off compeltely. It seems ridiculous to me that they sell these socks for such a high price, yet...

The toe separation keeps the socks firmly on your feet as opposed to regular socks. I used to wear slipper socks with the rubbery patches on the bottom and they never stayed on my feet! The Stick-e Socks do cut in a little between the toes when you do certain poses such as lunges, but it's not too bad and better than slipping. I would recommend this product for all of those who want to improve their yoga or pilates workout.

Don't let your self get ripped off- these socks are not woth purchasing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap, cheap materials, April 22, 2011

Wore a pair of these for about 3 hours and the stick-e soul completely fell to pieces. I was teaching a yoga class and kept picking up pieces of black schmootz off of my mat and floor. Do not waste your money and time with these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweaty yogi? These are a MUST!, February 8, 2011
I absolutely LOVE my Stick-e Socks & Gloves. I have now purchased 3 pairs of both the socks & gloves and now I do not do yoga without them. I give them as gifts to all my yoga buddies and they love them too! I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about when they say the products don't last long- I have not had any issues. The quality is exceptional, especially for the value.

If you do hot yoga, vinyasa yoga, or just have any issues with slipping and sliding during your workout (yoga, pilates, etc.) these are a must-have. I use them in combination with a yoga mat-- NO MORE SLIPPING FOR ME! And trust me, I have really put these to the test. I am typically soaked by the time my yoga practice is over. Before I had this product, I couldn't maintain my level of concentration & motivation as I was constantly having to readjust. No more! I recommend these for everyone.

Also, my mom delivers the mail and I bought these gloves for her to use on her route. They protect and keep her hands warm, while still allowing her the use of her fingertips, and the built in stick-e material gives her a great grip too. I just LOVE this product... in case you can't tell. :)

3.0 out of 5 stars Just OK, November 17, 2010

These socks keep your feet from sliding on the floor but doesn't keep me stable as I have hope. The price is very high ($14.95) for not working as good as they suppose to.

1.0 out of 5 stars Stick-e-socks, January 11, 2010

Received these as a gift, bunching at heel, but I figured that would change after the first washing. The blue sticky part cracked in several places the second time I used them. When I contacted Aleva Health about this they told me there were no guarantees for this product. I could exchange it for a credit at Aleva Health only. They have no other yoga socks. Considering the cost, this was a disappointment. I will not purchase from this company.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too much irritation for a little grip., October 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I liked the look of these toe socks because the large plasticized area should give a lot of grip and durability in just those areas that I wear out. I have many pairs of toe socks that I often wear practicing Tai Chi on polished wooden floors and they tend to be very slippery.

I found on using them that the grip was not too bad, but basically the same as my Gaiam plastic dot toe socks. However, my dot toe socks have held up much better over a fairly long period of use, while these have not well weathered the few use/wash cycles that I have given them.

The deal breaker for me was that when I move in these socks, especially any movement where the ball of the foot is planted first and this is used to root the foot, the grip is sufficient to pull the material around the base of each toe tight. (This stepping pattern is especially common in xinyi quan and baugua zhang.) I was quite surprised at the significant pain this produces at the webbing between my toes. I admit that these are my only pair of toe-less socks and perhaps all such socks would slide up and irritate this sensitive skin area, but they sure didn't work for me. I thought that perhaps this problem would go away with use but it became worse and after a half dozen uncomfortable days, I gave up.

The model socks with capped toe pockets and traction dots provide a reasonable amount of traction and the closed toe pockets provide enough counter pressure to keep the fabric from pulling in tight and blistering the skin between your toes! I might try this design if the ever offer a closed toe model rather than the toeless ones I bought.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stick-e Socks-- a great item--they really work!, August 18, 2011

Reading some of the negative reviews, makes me wonder if they got a bad batch--I bought my Stick-e socks 4 years ago, and they are still going strong! I hate walking around in a public place in my bare feet (I should be wearing these at the airport!), so these are great for any yoga room you go to. They stretch well, grip fantastically, and still give you the freedom to "feel" the floor with your toes--the perfect sock for any class that you need to be "barefoot'!
The price is right for them, because they last for years, and wash up well. You can't even tell they've been used, by looking at the rubber bottom on mine! If you're a yoga fanatic, don't wait!
and don't forget them for your pedicures too! Going outside in 20 degree weather after a pedicure in winter, wearing only a pair of sandals is miserable--these are so cozy, you barely notice it's that cold out!

4.0 out of 5 stars Helpful with sliding feet, August 12, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is my second pair of these socks. They really help my feet stay in place and the last pair I had lasted over a year (doing yoga twice a week). While the black socks ran true to size, I feel as though the beige socks are slightly big or are made of stretchier material, so the grips don't always stay at the ball of my foot. Other than that, these are great.
