4.0 out of 5 stars fabulous ideas
i love srini! this book is outstanding. tons of my favorite stickers were in here.

my only disappointment was that these are paper stickers. i incorrectly assumed that these would be vinyl stickers like what are sold on the website.

The text on the stickers is great, and I'm glad to finally be able to get them all in one big book rather than buying them individually (for a lot more).

However... the adhesive on the stickers is really, really, REALLY weak. They won't even stick to a non-completely-flat surface, and even on an ideal surface they come off VERY easily. After two days, some of...

5.0 out of 5 stars great for [...] fans! ^_^, July 18, 2006
This review is from: Sticker Nation: The Big Book of Subversive Stickers (Paperback)
i have been keeping up with srini's stickers since i was 14 (i'm 20 now!), so i can't tell you how cool it is to have gotten 462 of them for under [...] bucks! ^_^ i used to try to scrimp and save and only buy the ones that i thought were essentials, but now i have most of my favorites and tons more!

yay, srini!

update: after using the stickers for awhile, i discovered they are not so good at sticking. they usually peel up w/in an hour or so. it's great to have them, i just wish i didn't have to carry tape around when i want to use them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kid sister approved!, July 21, 2006
This review is from: Sticker Nation: The Big Book of Subversive Stickers (Paperback)
I am so proud of Srini -- this book so far is his crowning achievement. As an Indian kid, it took a lot of nerves for him to take the path he's chosen, or I should say, blaze a trail. As my mom likes to say, he was reading at 2, skipped the second grade, had 15 years of classical violin training and went to Stanford -- only to study Sociology and play in punk rock bands! All you misfit kids, honor students and ADD-sufferers will instantly understand the humor and genius behind this project. The point is to have fun and express yourself!

After two days, some of them have started to peel THEMSELVES off.

Now, this might be a result of the book being shipped to Minnesota in the winter and having been exposed to extreme cold, but I gave it over 24 hours to get back to room temperature and have been using the thing at an ambient 66 degrees. Stickers should stick at 66 degrees.

So, cool stickers, but you need a glue-stick to actually stick them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Where's ARM THE HOMELESS?, July 18, 2006
This review is from: Sticker Nation: The Big Book of Subversive Stickers (Paperback)
I love the book because it has a huge variety of what Srini and unamerican.com did... however it was missing some of my favorites from back in the day, such as "arm the homeless" and "drugs help alot." When I got it, I was happy to see the ones that were there, but my only complaint was that when I finished I was disappointed to not see some of the classics.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Stickers Rock!, June 16, 2006

At 2 1/4 cents for each sticker this book is the bargain of all time! The sticker slogans are super cool and the quality is as good as individually sold stickers, so my recommendation is to load up on this book - you'll never buy stickers this cheap again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Suprisingly terrific, January 9, 2007

When you think about buying a book of stickers it probably brings you back to when you were ten years old and stickers were tools that drove your parents nuts. Sticker Nation really brings stickers alive by giving them real meaning and spreading a message. Srini Kumar is an obviously thoughtful and intelligent person who is in touch with our societies vibrations. I keep this book out on my coffee table and have gotten more comments about it then any other book I put out. Visitors are instantly fascinated with the idea of reading a book through stickers. I highly recommend it!

I love this book, absolutely the best money I've ever spent on stickers. Even if I only ever use half of these, it was still a bargain. However, as stated elsewhere, the stickers barely stick to anything! I can't even get them to stay on things like my computer case! So be warned, you're going to need to find an alternate method for making them stickier.
