This was my first NFG CD, and I decided to get it after hearing "My Friends Over You" on the radio. And, half expecting to be disappointed, I was blown away. From the outstanding intro to the hidden track, it was amazing. Here's the track by track rundown:1. Understatement- This is the way an album should start. Great lyrics and a very memorable chorus. 10/10 12. The Story So Far- A great way to end the CD with an awesome chorus and good lyrics. Stay tuned to about 25 minutes into the song to hear a pretty funny hidden track. 10/10 So, if you like punk/rock, NFG won't disappoint you. I had liked only one of their poppier songs and I was still impressed. This CD will be in your rotation for a long time after you get it.

Sonny-9.5/10-Not as good as the first two songs but still an awesome song, kind of sad beacause it is about Jordans grandfather that died. 4. Something I Call Personality-9.8/10-The best music on the Cd, lyrics are good but song is only 2:40 long. I like the when they say "Lets Go" and "Hell Yeah" 5. Head On Collision-9.4/10-Second single on the Cd, very good lyrics but the chorus could be better. 6. Never Give Up-9/10-Not the best but really good. 9. The Great Houdini-8.5/10-Different song, still good though. 10. Singled Out-8/10-Probably my least fvorite song on the album but still a great song. 11. Belated-8.2/10-A little better that "Singled Out" a slower paced song. 12. The Story So Far-10/10-A great way to end the Cd, makes you want to listen to the Cd over and over again. If you fast forward to the end of this song there is the band talking, very funny.

NFG'S best work to date...,

Wow. Even those who may have shunned off the self-titled CD may want to have a listen to "Sticks and Stones." NFG has scored again, with 12 incredibly well-written tracks, with the standard infectious melodies and lyrical content. Jordan still loves to write about girls, but these songs show a maturity that lacked on the self titled, "Nothing Gold Can Stay" and "It's All About The Girls." The guitar tones on this album are greatly improved, as is the guitar work of Chad and Steve in general. Ian's bass work is also quite impressive this time around. Jordan's voice is at it's prime, and even edgy in spots. Guest appearances from Mark Hoppus, and members of Alkaline Trio among others are a cool addition to an already great cd. While the same "fun" element from their previous cd's is here...the songwriting on "Sticks and Stones" is NFG's best...no question about it. My favorite tracks so far are "Head on Collision", "The Story So Far", and the single, "My Friends Over You." However, there is not a weak track to be found here. NFG fans will not be dissapointed, and those who haven't ever picked up a NFG release...this is a great place to start. Good work, guys!
