You Need to Read This,
By
This review is from: Sticky Blood (Paperback)
If you have APS, you need to read this book. I only wish I had known about it when I was first diagnosed. When I found the information about it, I immediately ordered it and it continues to be of great help and comfort to me. It's easy to read as one reviewer said, but I never felt that the author was talking down to me or trying to be too simple with her language. I needed that kind of first hand knowledge and caring that Kay Thackray offered in this book and her latest one.My doctor also appreciated it and admitted he learned quite a bit about APS from it. Thanks again to the author.

Quick Read- Layman Oriented,
By
This review is from: Sticky Blood (Paperback)
This book is a quick read- one sitting & is perfect for the layman or the newly diagnosed. This book is not a good resource, however, for those who are already educated in the healthcare arena. Sticky Blood is written in a conversational and `chatty' tone, which lends to the approachability but left me hoping for more concrete fact-based information. As a matter of personal preference, I would have enjoyed a book that challenged me to live well and expect more; not to just yield to the assistance of `tablets' and energy conservation tactics. In summary- I'm thankful someone wrote a book about this topic that is friendly and easy to read, but I'll be looking for more books with studies, facts, and a challenge to live better.

A must read for people with APS and APS families and friends,
By
This review is from: Sticky Blood (Paperback)
Written for the patient with detailed and complete information. I believe anyone will learn a number of important life saving things from this book. It is especially informative for friends and family of APS afflicted people. Obviously written by a knowledgeable and caring author who has experienced the problems created by this disease and has a lot of experience dealing with others who also have the disease.

This book was a great find on a relatively unheard of disease. It explains the illness in detail and is written in layman's terms.

Very little meat, a lot of filler,

Not much in the way of fact or information, this book is a journal of the authors experience, and not a very interesting read even as that! As a sufferer of APS, I found no new info in this book. Buy the 2nd book if you must, but I would skip this one.

Not Bad,
By T. Forester (Oklahoma City, OK) - See all my reviews

This book is not bad. It has some good information in it for those that are newly diagnosed with APS. If you are looking for more "doctor" terms or have some what of an understanding of APS, then I would pass over this book. Great for family and friends who have no knowledge of this dx.

It was ok. Very easy to read. It reminded me of a chapter book in grade school. Large print for those of you who are very hard of seeing.
