This book (Sticky Burr) is one of the most fascinating comic books I have ever set my eyes upon. It is exciting and adventurous. His friends are Mossy Burr, Draffle, and Princess Oralee. He saves his village from danger and destruction and is admired by everyone but Scurvy Burr (a BAD Burr) and his sidekick Spiny Burr.

I love this story and I think most kids with a creative imagination and a yearning to read exciting stories will absolutely adore this book. I recommend this book to children of all ages (and adults, too).

This book is definately not a waste of money and time. BUY IT.

My boys, age 7 and 3, both love this book. The characters are cute and funny and do exciting things without ever being in real danger. The artwork has lots of neat details that reward careful examination. This is a great book.

My son loves reading this book - and sharing it with any friends and cousins who happen to come along - he loves the comics, pictures and characters, he's a huge fan and keeps checking on the author's website for more news of Sticky Burr - this book is sticking with us all! It is funny and a fun adventure! Great book!

Finally I've found a book that my seven-year-old son wants to read on his own and laughs out loud. It's so accessible and unintimidating. Please write some more, Mr. Lechner!

We found Sticky Burr through the Amazon suggestions column, and I allowed my 5 year-old son to check out the "look inside" feature. Needless to say, he loved it! We purchased both Sticky Burr books for him, and he has fallen in love with the Burr characters. These are graphic novels he can easily read on his own (we find him curled up on the sofa with his Prickly Peril book), and he loves the plots and illustrations in both books. I love how Lechner throws in random Burr comments ("I'm hungry!") in various frames, and it's great to see a high-interest book without heavy violence.

I hope Lechner continues this series. We love Sticky Burr!

i took this out from the library for my 5-year old son. he LOVES it, as do i. wonderful story and charming illustrations. i'd give it 10 stars if i could! i'll be on the lookout for john lechner's older book, "a froggy fable", and "the clever stick" due out in sept. of '09.

Wonderful graphic novel that is easy to read yet does not exude that dull, dumbed down feel of some easy reader books. My almost 6 year olds love Sticky Burr and have gone so far as to make their own diorama of Burrwood Village.

My six-year old, a budding reader, loves it. One of the few books that he'll set down by himself to read.

I'm a children's librarian who purchased this book for our collection and tested it out on my six year old son. This book and the illustrations are so clever and cunning. My son has studied the pictures over and over. The expressions and characteristics of each little burr are priceless. The storyline was engaging also. We're hoping for a Sticky Burr, part II!

Sticky Burr is a little forest burr who sets off on an adventure to Burrwood Forest - there to be caught in the trunk of the dangerous Maze tree as Burr Village is being attacked by dogs. Can Sticky escape from his own danger in time to save his friends? This is a fun tale with a cartoon appearance and pages of fast-paced adventure; both of which invite kids to read.
