Sticky paws does a fairly good job, BUT it works best on smooth fabrics. It doesn't adhere as well to fuzzier type fabrics, so I would recommend using the wide strips instead of the two inch strips for those fabrics. you will have to replace it, as it catches dust, sticks on your broom or vacuum if you touch it against the covered area,etc.You may also have to cut it a bit to make it fit well on some furniture. Also, remember your cat may just move on to a different area of the furniture or another piece of furniture, so be prepared to put it on possibly, all of the corners of your sofa and chairs.It does also look like big pieces of tape on your furniture and visitors may look at it strangely. Some cats will stop messing with the stuff after getting their paws on it a couple of times, but some very determined types will keep trying.I have had it on my furniture for two years and the battle of wills still continues! My cat refuses to use the numerous scratching posts I have provided for him....well, he does sit on them, but he won't scratch them. Overall, Sticky Paws is a good product and I would recommend it.

These worked great for me. The first time that my cat went to claw after I had put them on, he put his paws up on the chair and immediately removed them and looked at his paws like there was something wrong with his paws! Then he sniffed the sticky pads, apparently decided they were the culprit, not his paws, and turned and walked away. No clawing attempts since. The only thing negative I can say is that since my dogs are about the same height as the sticky pads, the pads have collected some hair, so they're not exactly an attractive addition to my leather furniture, but neither were the claw marks. And once they get too hairy, I'll just put some new ones on.

We have over 10 cats in/out of the house. My furniture used to be covered with blankets which was very unsitely. These work wonders both for small areas and large areas.

My cat recently started pawing at my couch. Before it turned into a habit of scratching, I purchased these strips. I thought that these would be better than the tape since I had very large areas of fabric to cover. The sheets barely adhered to the couch's upholstery. Half of them bunched up or pealed off immediately. Within two days they all had peeled off of the couch. What a waste of money.

Very happy with sticky paws. They work great to keep kitties from jumping on a surface or scratching. They are clear and are great on glass. I'm not sure if they are safe on wood or other finishes but they have helped me keep the kitties from rubbing against the TV on my glass stand.

While I prefer the plain roll of sticky tape, this did work well for a larger floor area I needed to cover, without having to unroll a ton of tape to do it. This worked for its purpose, in this case. That said, I prefer the simple roll of sticky paws to using this as it's cheaper and in most cases, easier. It's not that easy to work with the larger piece of tape. I just needed to completely cover a larger area of floor and decided to try it.

My cat has a terrible habit of scratching the corners of our couch. I really just put up with it for years - then I heard of double sided tape! I found this product and the sheets are great - so far it is working fine, I am ordering more because i have a sectional and the first piece I messed up putting it on, so I ruined the whole piece. I would recommend this product!

This is the only thing I've found that actually keeps my cat from scratching my furniture. It can make actually using the furniture a little awkward, but at least it doesn't get torn up!

I got all 3 kinds of sticky paws, the big sheets, the regular strips and the roll. The extra large sheets are handy for putting on carpet covered steps, the vertical risers that one of my cats loves to tear into, or on larger areas on couches. The cats (4) don't like it. But they do move to other areas that aren't covered. So it's necessary to have something for them to scratch. I got a very tall sisal covered post. But they don't like sisal, so I wrapped it with a small rug and they all like it now. The sticky paws covered furniture is not getting scratched now.

I've used both the regular and XL strips with good results. My 2 cats only scratch when I'm not around so this is a good option. The only problem I've found is 1 cat just scratches right next to wherever the strips are. The fix is to put the strips not just on the couch corners but all along exposed areas. At $10-15 bucks for a package it's a little spendy for what you actually get.

They stick and remove fine on cloth furniture. Be careful with leather though; my couch has no problems but a chair now has large, rectangular, lighter areas where the strips are routinely used. Not many other options out there though.
