5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read for Global Wall Street, May 19, 2010
    Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Stigum's Money Market, 4E (Hardcover)
The breadth and depth of the 4th edition of Stigum's Money Market makes it a must read for global wall street. In addition, I highly recommend this book to students (as, I, myself am a student going to graduate school in the Fall & a CFA Level 1 Candidate; I choose this to read for my 2 months of vacation time/off time from school).

While the price is substantially high, you will get more than your money's worth. Something I really like about how the book is structured is it doesn't get into the details/nitty gritty of the math involved, making it a good read, providing everything you need to know (no joke) about the broad money market world.

I highly respect Anthony Crescenzi (Mr. Crescenzi is now at PIMCO), and his intelligence of the markets (money markets included) shows why I think he is the best author for this material; in-fact, I was attracted to this book at first because Mr. Crescenzi is the co-author.

Anyone interested in the money market part of the financial world/wall street is guaranteed to like this book. Should be supplementary reading for the CFA program (all 3 levels). One of the best - if not the best - books on my desk (while the subject material is different than the classic Security Analysis, I consider this book just as good if not better)...you will not be disappointed with this book, guaranteed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bible of Moolah, September 17, 2007

    E. Sayle (San Fran Disco) - See all my reviews
    (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Stigum's Money Market, 4E (Hardcover)
This book is pretty comprehensive in its scope. Overall it is pretty accessible to both laypeople and finance types. Might be improved with a slightly different layout with more structure. Overall though, I would recomend it for somebody who really wants to know about the world of Moolah!
