5.0 out of 5 stars Great product!
I really like this product. It is odd that there are no instructions... that said it isn't hard to use. Wear it alone or mix it with your moisturizer and apply under foundation. You only need a small amount, like one half to one pump. IT IS NOT A CONCEALOR! It color corrects uneven skin tones and brighten the overall complexion. Like with any primer you still need...

2.0 out of 5 stars mehh
I tried this stuff because I have a mutitude of skin problems (rosacea, acne, dark spots, dark under eye circles, scars and sensitive combo skin) that make it difficult to get good, consistent coverage from foundations. Well it had no real overall effect. It felt like i had applied something, but my skin was no brighter or even and it did nothing to help the foundation...

Like with any primer you still need to put makeup over it. I love it. My skin looks younger and more radiant. I love that it uses multiple color corrects in the same product instead of having to use different products for different problem areas. It offsets pink undertones, yellow discoloration, fades sun spots and brightens. It has a very luminesent finish, and It's super light weight. Nice product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, March 13, 2011
This review is from: Stila One Step Correct Brightening Serum, 1-Fluid Ounce (Misc.)
I tried this product out at the store before I bought it by putting it on only half of my face to see the difference, and what a difference it made! It instantly improved my skin's uneven tone and texture. I love it and I will never use another base for my makeup. It is a bit pricey, but a little bit goes a long way and I think it is worth the cost because it actually works, unlike some of the cheaper primers and correctors I have used. Since I started using it, I find myself wearing less makeup as this is taking care of many of the things I generally use makeup to cover. I have stopped using foundation entirely, and instead just apply some concealer and finishing powder over the top of this product. I have struggled with skin problems my entire life, and this has been an awesome find!

This is an excellent product. It does everything it says it does...and more. What a difference it makes! I will use this product for a lonnnnnnnnng time! It corrects all of my color-conflicts before I put on my makeup. It is easy to use, light and smooth, no scent, and is a wonderful base for makeup. I highly recommend using Stila one step!

Well it had no real overall effect. It felt like i had applied something, but my skin was no brighter or even and it did nothing to help the foundation stay put. Drug store primers, specifically Physician's Formula, work much better.

I bought this product because I really like some of Stila's other products (particularly their eyeliner, which I do feel is worth the money). I'm a bit disappointed with this product, as I cannot tell a discernable difference in my skin (and one should for the money). I'm not saying this stuff should work miracles, but I can't detect a difference between this and a cheaper product. This particular experience would not dissuade me from trying other Stila products, but I won't be buying this particular formula again.

I really like this product. It goes on evenly and creates a smooth finish - even without foundation.
A little bit goes a long way.

5.0 out of 5 stars great primer, May 3, 2011

This is an excellent primer. It help even out skin tone, toning down the red spots and brightening the sallow colors. I have an olive completion that looks quiet green in the winter time when I don't get enough sun and this helps balance me out very nicely. It is not a color corrector so don't expect it to do anything dramatic like cover dark circles or red spots. Its primary function is as a primer, to smooth out the skin tone to prepare for makeup. It has almost a cooling affect when you put it on and I love the way my skin feels after. I often wear it without any makeup at all.

3.0 out of 5 stars Is it Oil-Free?, April 13, 2011
This review is from: Stila One Step Correct Brightening Serum, 1-Fluid Ounce (Misc.)
I really like this serum, but had a bad break out after wearing two times. I wore the serum under a Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer that is labeled "oil-free". While the product description says it controls oil, it doesn't specifically say "oil free", so right now the jury's out. Other than that, it does what it says it will, in terms of priming your skin for make-up. I'll have to figure out the break-out by giving this a second chance.
