Includes 14 oz. Titanium Smooth/Curved 18 in. Hickory Handle Framing Hammer - TI14SC

From the Manufacturer

When you look at the Titan hammers from Stiletto Tool Co., you can see it's a well crafted tool. What you can't see is that this may be the lightest framing hammer you'll ever hold. Stiletto Tool Company proudly traces its history to the earliest days of the California Gold Rush. Since 1849, we have provided professionals and homeowners the tools that have literally shaped the building of the West. Today, Stiletto's line of Titanium hammers brings the tradition into the 21st century. Lighter by nearly half the weight of conventional hammers, Stiletto's line of Titanium hammers significantly decreases the incidence of carpal tunnel syndrome and other repetitive-motion, stress-related injuries. The lightness of Titanium creates a greater head velocity with less effort. Its strength assures there is no loss in driving power.

After using this hammer every day for a few weeks, I don't ever want to pick up that famous blue handled hammer I used to swing! Despite the handle coming loose soon after I started using it, I still wouldn't give it up. (A quick call to the manufacturer and a new handle was on its way at no cost to me) The magnetic slot to start nails with is the envy of the rest of the crew at work. I thought it was kinda gimmicky at first but not anymore. This is a great product. I hope you find the review helpful in making the pricey investment.

Finally submitted and decided to buy a decent hammer after 15yrs as a carpenter. 1st option, i bought a Douglas 20oz framer which was a massive disapointment!!!! the handle was rough and the head was wonky!!!! Now i own a Stiletto 14oz titanium hickory handled framer and it still amazes me everyday i lift it out the bag. Everyone who has tried it is so suprised. At first i wasnt sure whether to believe the hype, after all, a hammer is just a hammer right? WRONG. I will never buy any other type of claw/framing hammer as long as i live. Stiletto customer for life. xxx

I used to have a problem with tennis elbow from swinging a 32oz hammer and even when i scaled back to a 24oz I still had some pain. This hammer is light as a feather and yet I still feel like I can drive 16's in the same number of hits. I feel like it's easier to be accurate because of the light weight so I hit with more force. I've had this hammer in service for several years now and as I get more into finish work I still find it's the best one to keep in my belt. Even though i have a smooth face I don't notice any tendency to slip off the nail head. It seemed like alot of money at the time, but I've never regretted it and I still enjoy using it every time. Just a great all-around hammer!

I frame custom homes for a living and use this hammer everyday. It is hands down the best hammer ever made. I have carried almost every type of hammer out there and there is no match for it.

This is a great hammer. The comfortable curved hickory handle makes you want to hold it in your hand and find things to hit with it.
I purchased this hammer for 2 reasons. The first being the wood handle and the second being the titanium head. I had been using a steel shaft hammer for years, but after hearing that the vibration can lead to elbow problems, I decided I should probably switch hammers.
I decided on the Stiletto because not only did it have the wood handle, But it was a lightweight hammer that swings like a much heavier hammer thanks to the titanium head. I wear a tool belt all day and having a lighter hammer in it makes a huge difference. I also like the smooth face over the waffle because it allows the hammer to be multipurpose. I can move from framing to siding with it without having to worry about putting waffle prints everywhere. I would not think twice about purchasing this again if something were to happen to my current one. I have been using this hammer for about a year now and hope to be using it for many more to come.

After hearing the titanium hype for over a year, I had to get one. After using it for a couple of months, I havn't had any problems. It still takes a few more hits to drive larger nails. I like my 25oz. steel hammer for heavy framing. I like using the Stilletto for white pine and sheet goods. It sure is a conversation piece on the job sites, but probably not worth the extra money(at least to me).

I'm new to construction. I started out with a simple 16 oz estwing framing hammer and I was happy with it. I was doing some research and found stiletto hammers were rated #1 everywhere I looked. It took me time to feel comfortable buying a 90 dollar hammer but let me tell you it's everything and more what they speak of. I'm about 5 foot 6 inches so carpentry can tough at times when it comes to nailing something up high but with stilettos nail starter starting 8 and 16 penny as well as 4 inch pole barn nails is a breeze. I'm totally happy with my purchase.
