5.0 out of 5 stars Smack it again, July 29, 2006
I bought this hammer from the 'owner' of Stiletto tools. Didn't really have to talk me into it, just swing it once. That's it. Done. I enjoy having a hammer that is as much a conversation piece as a...hammer.

Ps. I got a free t-shirt too!

aloha,

4.0 out of 5 stars Does what it claims, August 29, 2009
This review is from: Stiletto Ti12MC 12-Ounce Titanium Milled Face Hammer with a Curved 18-Inch Hickory Handle (Tools & Home Improvement)
First off, this hammer is offered at $54 at the moment, and at that price i could not recommend it more. As for the hammer itself, its pretty sweet, but wont entirely replace a big steel framer. The claim that this drives nails as well as a 20 oz steel hammer is, i think, a slight exaggereation. That said, it drives faster than a 16 oz steel, and weighs practically nothing. so for the driving of nails, light tapping on things to move them around, arranging shims, etc, this is a great hammer. On the other hand, for certain tasks, 12 oz just isnt enough mass. For things like banging prefab walls into place, and doing demolition, and generally abusive use, you will still want a steel hammer. My solution to this has been to actually carry two hammers, this one and a 23oz vaughn. with those two, I'm covered in all situations.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT HAMMERS, August 15, 2010
This review is from: Stiletto Ti12MC 12-Ounce Titanium Milled Face Hammer with a Curved 18-Inch Hickory Handle (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have built homes for over 30 years, I have used Stiletto titaniums for most of them. It is a real arm saver. They are the best hammer on the market in titanium. I have four of them in different styles weights and handle lengths. I love them all. There are times when you need the old steel framer. But for everything else these Stiletto's are the top of the line. Thank You Stiletto for such a great product. I plan on getting your pry bars and nail pullers next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for use ALL day, August 24, 2009
This review is from: Stiletto Ti12MC 12-Ounce Titanium Milled Face Hammer with a Curved 18-Inch Hickory Handle (Tools & Home Improvement)
I am not a construction worker but, I went on a build trip to Mexico. I needed a hammer that would get the job done and, be easy to swing for a novice all day. This is the best hammer I have found to do it - everyone on the site (experienced professionals also) loved this hammer too! Worth every penny!
