I am a framing carpenter by trade. For 12 to 14 hours a day 6 sometimes 7 days a week I earn my living with a nail gun and a hammer. The first day I used it my wrist and elbow felt better when I got home. I had more driving power than my 22oz california framer i was using. This hammer suprised me with the power to easily bump walls in place. Everyone I work with wants...

I got this hammer via a promotional trade-in. I used to be a framer so I do appreciate a well made hammer. The hammer felt very comfortable & the weight was nice. Unfortunately, the serrations on the head wore down in a little over a month, & the head became loose. The company replaced the hammer but this time sent along an instruction sheet that states the hammer cannot...

Everyone I work with wants one now. They had all switched to 16oz finish hammers to save their elbows but I didn't want to give up the giant framer. The one thing you need to watch out for is that hammer really does drive like a 32oz so watch you fingers and your wood. I have rip ped a good inch of a 2 x 10 by missing on a toe nail. If you need a framing hammer to earn your living, buy this even if you don't need a lighter hammer. It drives faster, hits harder and the balance of it makes you hope your nail gun fails.

Awesome hammer! No gimmicks. Hits really well. Wanted one for a long time but wasn't sure if it'd be any better than a 24oz steel. Finally ordered one to replace old faithful and it took less than two weeks to get to the other side of the world. Very pleased.

Unfortunately, the serrations on the head wore down in a little over a month, & the head became loose. The company replaced the hammer but this time sent along an instruction sheet that states the hammer cannot be used to strike chisels, nail sets, or nail pullers.

As a remodeling contractor I need a hammer that is able to hit allot more than just soft nails so the replacement hammer is sitting in its box unused. I went back to conventional steel.

5.0 out of 5 stars If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail., February 15, 2011

Tools make us human. I figure the first tool was probably a hammer. Making this hammer the finest evolution of our oldest and most basic of tools. 16 oz of titanium that delivers the force of a 28 oz steel hammer, with less fatigue. Truely God's metal.

With the addition of the airsoft handle, this makes for one nice hammer

I'm not a pro but I've long wanted a framing hammer. So when I was asked to help with a barn framing project with friends that was all the excuse I needed. This titanium hammer has all the pounding power of a steel hammer sans the weight. Easier on the elbow. Lighter hanging on your belt. We had fun comparing my new Stiletto to the myriad steel hammers on the site that day. Everyone wanted to use mine. No regrets.

this hammer is nice. i have the 14 oz- not worth it.i have the 15 oz t-bone- definately not worth it. but if your looking for a good wooden handle hammer, stop looking. this is probably the best weight to power ratio in my opinion, ever. this thing hits like a dime, and you know what you got when you hold this puppy in your hand. real nice power. the price is definately unreasonable, but i gues you got to suck it up if you want something that puts hair on you chest.
