5.0 out of 5 stars Easily the best song from a video game ever.
Apart from the innovative gameplay, sublime storytelling, and bust-a-gut humor; this song was the icing on the cake that is Portal. No self-respecting geek should be without this song.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great song - terrible MP3.
It pains me to have to de-rate this song to 1 star. I *love* the song, but Amazon's VBR MP3 just sounds terrible. Very distorted even in the the medium-loud sections. I reported it to Amazon Customer Service, they listened and agreed, then issued a refund immediately! Hooray!

The quality of this MP3 is superb.
It is better quality than any of the cuts I have seen on YouTube to date.
So if you have played the game - you probably want to buy this MP3.

Also check out the songs creator Johnathan Coulton if you like witty songs in general.

Having beaten the shinnola out of Portal, I have a great appreciation for this song. If you haven't beaten, or even played the game, you'll likely be as confused as I was when I heard it.

It isn't the best song in the world, but it is a very fun song, and for even more fun make sure you check out VGCats.com and the strip they did centered around it! Then go buy this download! It's worth all the pennies I paid.

That I bought a song from a video game should say enough how well done this song is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Quality; Identical to the In-Game Song, May 16, 2010

So, I just finished "Portal" and OMG-AWESOME-SONG at the end prompted me to cruise over to Amazon and download this MP3. I'm pleased to report that this MP3 is identical to the end-game song, I was afraid that this might be a "remix" or some craziness when all I wanted was the actual song at the end of the game.

I've had no quality problems with this - loaded it into my MP3 player, hooked it up to the car stereo, and blasted it out the windows going down the highway and it still sounded great. Like all Amazon MP3s, there is no DRM nonsense to deal with - once you buy it, you can load it onto any device you like without having to mess with passwords or device registration.

I played Portal and was blown away by its simple, elegant genius. This song, which played during the credits, was the icing on the Cake (see what I did there?).

I've only played it half a billion times on my iPod since buying it.

Basically, you've already made your buying decision by the time you've read this review. Either you stumbled onto the wrong page and are about to leave, or you're a fellow Portal addict, in need of their next fix. Knock yourself out. Download it. Check out those sweet Companion Cube fuzzy dice. Print out the lyrics if you're one of the few outcast nerds who hasn't memorized 'em. And have fun. Best song on the planet. Hail Coulton!

I do not play videogames, but when I read on the internet that Jonathan Coulton had written the end theme for the game Portal, I went to youTube so I could listen to it. I loved it! The song is funny, the person who signs it manages to sound mechanical, yet "human", as if she (her character) was really alive,(for those who do not know, this song is supposedly sung by GlaDos, the evil sentient computer that is at the center of the game's story, after the heroine is able to destroy her and escape). Awesome song from an incredibly talented singer/songwriter.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very catchy tune, May 5, 2008

So after beating Portal it was a treat to see that even the credits had humor in them, which was accompanied by this song, "Still Alive". Not only are the lyrics funny, along with the sound of the computer voice, but the tune is very catchy. I found myself humming this song for hours.
