5.0 out of 5 stars Still Blazing is WICKED
The 'Prophet' is back and Still Blazing after the success of his previous album, More Fire! This album (Still Blazing)is the right title for this album, It is well crafted with some very good tunes. If you are a rasta or a really raggae lover, you should have this album. The 'Prophet' is talking about women, current events, nature and of course His Majesty King Selassie...

1.0 out of 5 stars Murder Music
If you like homophobic murder music, this one is for you! Capleton advocates shooting gay men in his song Whoa!

Yes it is still blazin' and is hotter than hot this time around. This is Capleton's best album by far... riding off of the success of More Fire, it holds its own and expands to make a great Rasta reggae classic. Ones may be weary of Capleton or disagree with some of his philosophies (for more about his character see my review for More Fire), but do not pass this album up. Some of Reggae's greatest modern roots and culture artists collaborate with "The Prophet" here... and they make a killer combination. One of the best tunes is Jah Is Gonna Work It Out featuring Glen Washington... Uncle Glen is a gravely voiced conscious singer whose style compliments the deejay flow of Capleton. Morgan Heritage makes Behold a classic, and Hail King Selassie featuring Luciano is just as wicked. Other standout conscious tracks are the burst of energy on Search Fi A Find, Mashing Up The Earth, Red Red Red, Pure Woman and I Will Survive Among some regular Dancehall tracks are Boom Sound, the hit Whoa "New Way", the hidden track Gimmi The Women, and How It Go. Capleton experiments here with singing In Your Eyes and does quite well, and I & I Chant is a good Binghi chant. All of the tunes here are excellent, the album can be listened to without skipping through... it is well produced and well balanced. Add this to your reggae collection. Big up to Capleton!

5.0 out of 5 stars Still Blazin', April 11, 2002

Capleton's "Still Blazin" The follow up to the critically acclaimed "More Fire". After months of 7" releases for the dancehalls, and countless dub plates for the sound systems,Capleton got back to work on a full album, and came up with the aptly titled "Still Blazin.
The album is just that blazin. The 'Prophet' as he is affectionally known in the dancehall has come back, with inspired, truthful lyrics. Feature tracks include "Woah" "Mashing up the Earth" and "In Your Eyes". and "Behold" featuring Morgan Heritage. Luciano makes a guest appearance on "Hail King Selassie.
Hardcore dancehall fans, the fire man is back, and "still blazin"

5.0 out of 5 stars Keep The Fyah Burning, February 26, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Still Blazing (Audio CD)
Still Blazing is a CD to get. Probably the best solo reggae album to be released in months. I can't even decide which track is the best because they all sound great! Capleton has had numerous songs on JA top 40 for months and even though some of these tunes have been out on 45 already (boom sound, mi dehyah, caan tan yah, etc) and you probablly heard them on some mix CD, this album is still a must have. You get the Prophet's opinion on current events, Rastafari, nature, woman, etc. Definitely the hottest album out right now...

5.0 out of 5 stars Still Blazin is ridiculous!. . ., February 27, 2002

Capleton had some seriously huge footsteps to follow in "More Fire", but Still Blazin does way more than simply follow in More Fire's steps. This is one of the better albums that I've heard in a long time. There are no weak tracks at all, all of the beats are top notch, and Capleton rides them to nearly perfection. The best song here is hard to tell because all the cuts are very good. Check Search Fi a Find, the acapella beginning of which is amazing, check I&I Chant (which I would probably say is the album's best), Punchline 2 Hit, Hail King Sellassie with Luciano of course, and even the hidden track Gimmid Di Woman, which was a great addition by VP. I also really like the track How It Ago, kind of a Hip-hop sound to it, and Cooyah Cooyah, the lyrics are fantastic there. Check Guerilla Warfare and WHOA! on the dancehall side. Overall, you haffi have this record if you are a reggae fan. Many of Capleton's tracks sound like Marley beats so it appeals to nearly everyone. Don't wait, go get it! AMAZING!
