This is probably the best free book I've gotten from Amazon. It's well-written and the plot twists are great. The characters are a little flat - or do I mean undeveloped? - but I was so caught up in the plot I didn't really notice and, frankly, it wouldn't have been the same book with more emphasis on character development. I liked it very much.

This is a long book without sufficient plot to sustain its length. I could have chopped 50-75 pages out of this book without changing the book one bit. It is also loaded with characters and it takes a while to get them all straight in your mind.

Having voiced those minor criticisms, it is a very good read with a really different story line. Plus, it was offered free for the Kindle as an introduction to Mr. Flynn's writing. He has written better books but I don't think anyone will be disappointed if this is their first read of his.

This is my first experience with Joseph Flynn and I would have to say that it was satisfying and that I will add him to my "To Read" list. I did find the plot overly complex and the list of characters a bit too long, but I managed to keep going and enjoyed the various twists and machinations. The ending may have been a little underwhelming and simplistic but overall, a worthwhile read. I'm not sure if the protagonist will show up in Mr. Flynn's other books but it might be interesting to follow his career and character development.
